The Undine

Bio

Crystal Marr is a famous writer and friend to Bruce Wayne. One night she was invited to dinner with Mr. Wayne and his friends Jeannie Gale, Ginger O' Shea, Grant Arden, and Sandor Fane. While they were talking Sandor started to talk about his studies on Paracelsus and his studies of Alchemy. He then told them he discovered a way of summoning the four spirits of the elements. Each element rebresented a creature of mythology such as the Undine, Salamander, Gnome, and Sylph. After hearing of this Bruce Wayne had to leave for his nightly patrol on the city. During this time the Overlord kidnapped Jeannie, Crystal, Ginger, and Grant to test his theory on summoning the spirits of the elements but he had to place them into their bodies as a vessel for them. Crystal then became the Undine and had control over water. The Overlord then told them about the Super Friends and how they were evil. After hearing this they decided to stop them. Overlord then gave them costumes to hid their hosts identities, and then stationed each one of them at a location for each member of the Super Friends to face. Crystal was staioned on an island in the Pacifici Ocean and her target was Aquaman. Once Aquaman arrived she revealed herself and attacked him with powerful waves. Aquaman was overwhelmed with her control over the waves, she then decided to show him her shapeshifting abilities by turning into a gorilla. Gleek then arrived and wrapped his long tail around her while Aquaman called a flock of seagulls to drop rocks on her. She then surrender and apologized to him for attacking him, and telling him she was tricked into attacking him.

At the Hall of Justice she and the others explained what happened and that they have a spirit representing the four elements residing in their bodies. After listening to the spirits sad story they let them off due to being manipulated. The Super Friends then decided to help them become heroes. Ginger then went to create a costume for each one of them that reactes with their powers. Once finished they each showed off their abilites until Overlord broadcasted that he would attack selected locations each residing with the four elements. Undine then went with Aquaman to protect Atlantis form the Overlord attack. When they arrived they saw he was using greek fire to destroy Atlantis. Crystal then created a whirlpool to block the greek fire while Aquaman went on board the ship to stop it from releaseing the greek fire. Once done they both returned to the Hall of Justice.

It is unknown what happened to Crystal but she probably was erased due to the events of Crisis of Infinite Earts.

Powers

Crystal at first had no powers until the element of water entered her body. She then gained the ability to control water. Also due to being an undine she was related to proteus and had shapeshifting powers.
