A race of extra-dimensional, carnivorous insects

    Short summary describing this team.

    Origin

The Scatter's origin is uncertain. They originated in an extra-dimensional area, and eventually developed the capability to move from world to world, destroying every planet they came across. At some point they attached themselves to the villain Lore, and, guided by Century, followed in her destructive wake, consuming the remainders of planets she left behind.

    Creation

The Scatter were created by Dan Abnett, Andy Lanning, and Tom Tenney.

    Team Evolution

The Scatter is composed of vast swarms of insects that are essentially identical and interchangeable.

    Major Story Arcs

    Force Works

Century is accidentally summoned to Earth by the Scarlet Witch, and the Scatter follow after him, capturing the Scarlet Witch, Spider-Woman and USAgent, and apparently killing Wonder Man. They are eventually defeated by Century, Iron Man, and other members of Force Works.

    Powers and Abilities

The Scatter is an incredibly intelligent race, having developed and mastered advanced wormhole technology that can be used to travel through space. They tend to appear in massive bodies which are actually hives containing thousands of the insectoid Scatter. These bodies are superhumanly strong and durable, and possess very sharp claws. A carnivorous race, members of the Scatter are able to enter a victim by travelling under their skin, and consume them from the inside out
