You really thought Flash’s new power was going to work properly? 0

With tittles like this in the reboot, it’s really hard to find which titles to drop so I can give those spots for better ones or just leave extra money around for things like trades and other things. And this one is probably a long runner on my watch. We get to see the effects of the EMP caused by the Mob Rule from last issue as Barry awesomely saves a plane from crashing as he explains how some of his powers work giving new readers more info on what Barry can do, showing that this guy can take o...

    The Flash #3 0

I was relieved and very pleasantly surprised after reading The Flash #1. I knew it would look beautiful, because that is what Francis Manapul and Brian Buccellato do, but when they also provided an interesting, and well written, story, I knew I was in for something special.Manapul and Buccellato introduced a new ability of Barry Allen's last issue that is very interesting and we got a glimpse as to how it works. At the start of this issue, they take one of the Flash's trademark abilities and use...

    Flash Ahhhhhhhhh 0

This new series has added an interesting aspect to flash and that's that his speed is now full body. It has always been the case that he could accelerate himself and use that in different ways, but they are now playing more with his mind then they ever have. The question then becomes how far or thin is he stretching himself. That undertone fascinates me to keep reading. Mob Rule I think cements itself as one of the villains that can offer a unique challenge to the Flash. The Scarlet Speedster ha...

Art - While all the art is good, both line art and coloring, the art style is inconsistent shifting between styles for different scenes. It gives the impression that all the pages aren't from the same book.Story - The story moves along at a decent pace, but I find the whole thing rather boring and bland. Mob Rule's origin is Captain America's. The clones are actual clones that come from body parts that get chopped off him. It's a basic thing that might be a concern with genetic manipulation. Bas...

    Frank Miller would aproave 0

I apologize for the cheesy title, but come on! We had a Frank Miller moment in this book! How is that not awesome?! Really the Flash in a horse is something I will not forget anytime soon.I'm still not sure what's going on, on this book, but I'm enjoying it. (I'd enjoy it more if I knew what happened to Wally West, but I can live with it)...

Devastation Looms On The Horizon 0

The Story: Flash pulls out all his moves as he saves an airplane full of innocent civilians after an EMP blacked out the city. Later on he tracks down a lead on Mob Rule.  My Thoughts:Francis Manapul and Brian Buccellato make quite the dynamic creative team, at least when it comes to creating artwork. I haven't quite yet been sold on their writing abilities. Hopefully in time that will change. Sometimes I don't like their method of unraveling the story. They do provide plenty moments of fun and ...

    Stepped up my game 0

There is a lot going on this issue, so much so that I can reasonably say that not much more of anything could be fit in here.  There is Barry saving the plane from crashing, Iris in prison with the supervillains, Darwin being kidnapped, the city in darkness and Barry against the mob rule again.  While this makes for a fast paced issue, it also means that the execution is harder to pull off with the pace it needs to keep.  It is mostly successful at this but the overall effect is still somewhat j...

    Flash's new power a blessing or a curse? 0

This is my video review for The Flash issue 3. This issue is about the Flash trying to save his friend but maybe make a sacrafice because of it. ...

The Good: The cover is much better than last issue. It's not as gorgeous as the original solicited cover, but the positioning of everything is just perfect, with an incredibly effective use of white space. Manapul is possibly at his best yet with panel layouts, and continues to make each scene incredibly well paced in and of itself. The city wide EMP thing makes for an interestingly intense story, and there's a lot of fun to be had in some of the plot elements. The ending is pretty shocking. The...

    A Speedster's Doom 2

This dashing new series has really sucked me in. I really enjoy the intricate artwork, it gives originality to the story which I find very impressive. It reminds me of placing puzzle pieces in the right spot to figure out the big picture. We also get a glimpse at our first villain. I don't know too much about the Flash's villains. I actually thought none of them were interesting except for Gorilla Grod. If you thought the Flash was cool because he could phase through anything, just wait till you...

    Flash # 3 0

Flash # 3I have not read a better Flash Series than Francis Manapul for this book. So far this book a been so dynamic and procise on it’s writing showing that this is one of the best books on the selves. Flash (Barry Allen) to me is just becoming more and more popular of a character because of what this book is capable of. Brian Buccellato art is just great, he’s the best artist to ever do Flash from Geoff Johns work to Francis Manapul work presently today. The books is just remarkable, the clif...

"Why'd They Do That?! Torture? Recruitment." 0

Synopsis   Following the EMP blast from last issue, The Flash and company set out to find Manuel as Iris West is in the hands of Captain Cold! The Good   From musing on coffee to phasing an aeroplane through a bridge to safely land it, once again we are getting a great look at how the Flash is more than just a speedster, he's a hero who is developing his powers and abilities through trial and experimentation.  Speaking of which, we also find out how Manuel Lago was able to regrow his hand, and t...

Was it just me, or did G-Man make an appearance in this 0

Okay, so let me say this, I only got this issue a few weeks ago at comic con, and it's the only issue that I own from the New 52's Flash. Overall it's pretty good. It's fun to see Flash do more than run. I like the fact that the city is in turmoil, but this was bad judgment on my part and I don't know much about what's going on.What I do see however, I like. There's excellent allusions to Barry hating coffee, which always makes me smile. Another thing I liked was that I could SWEAR G-Man made an...
