    Flash: Flash V.S. Madrox !

Flash returns after a long hiatus and a great last arc:Road to Flashpoint! Will this book live up to expectations?
Plot:  The Flash is framed for a murder(kinda), Flash is on the run from the Mob Rule, but who are the Mob Rule and what do they wan't with the Flash and his old friend Manuel?
    Good!
Iris is(imo) portrayed much better here then in the old Flash book in which she sat in the background called Barry and drank coffee continuisly. Here she is a reporter and a good one at that, I hope Barry and her kinda date. The art is amazing. Barry's new costume is great. It's a great jump on point yet it(with the exception of the Iris thing) doesn't retacon anything that I know of. The villain is kind of interesting.
    Bad!
Kind of let down. Patty Spivot is annoying here imo(reverse of the last volume in which Iris was lame and Patty was awesome). the diologue seems sort of rushed(no pun intended) while the villain seems interesting I was hoping for something a bit more interesting. Not liking the "oh I droped my cell gotta go where dangerous guys with guns are and get it"  and "oh that's not strange at all you put you're life in danger for a cell phone. Hey now that I think about it you're never around when the flash is." "Am I?" Yeah probablly just a coincidence" thing.
    Overall:
1.5 for Iris being awesome and 2 stars for Francis and Brians art and colors.
-1 for boring Patty  and 0.5 for some of the diologue being rushed.
    Overall it's a 3.5
Will I continue: Yes, Francis's art is reason enough along with the fact Flash is probabally by 2nd favorite super-hero or 1st him or Captain Marvel. Also one of the first comics I ever bought was a Flash one. Barry may not be my favorite Flash(that's Wally) Flash no matter who it is means most likely I'll read it.

After the events of Flashpoint, it is now to Barry Allen to hold the mantle of the Flash.  The tone of the series is set right away, returning the character to a depiction of the character not seen since probably the 1960s as the young and inexperienced bungles his way through life as Barry just as much as he speeds through it as the Flash.  In pushing Barry back in this direction it seems as though the creative team is looking to find a medium ground where Barry takes on some of the characteris...

A Flash and Splash debut. 0

I really enjoy when the artist is also writer.  Partly because the voice I think is clearer.  From Manapul's first Flash series with Geoff Johns we really saw a strong visual storytelling from Manapul and now without Johns, the story is so clear with Manapul's narrative.  We see some hand lettering blended into the art like a young Will Eisner.  We also see great panel layout, accompanied by great contrast of inking style and color choices.  This book is beautiful on the eyes.  This story ...
