The Defenders » The Defenders #47 - Night Moves! released by Marvel on May 1, 1977.

    Short summary describing this issue.

No recent wiki edits to this page.

The Defenders attempt some R&R time, until Jack Norriss finds himself in hot water with Nick Fury! On her return to Avengers Mansion, Hellcat is attacked by an amnesiac Wonder-Man. What has pushed Wonder Man over the edge? And will the Defenders be able to bail Norriss out of his latest woes?

Hellcat and Valkyrie leave Hulk and Nighthawk, and then Hulk jumps away, leaving Nighthawk on his own. Meanwhile, Nick (Max) Fury has his men carry the unconscious body of Jack Noriss, which Moon Knight sees and feels he needs to stop. He rescues Noriss, but Fury and his men get away. Valkyrie visits Clea at the Sanctum Sanctorum, while Hellcat enters the Avengers Mansion. The Avengers aren't there, but she runs into Wonder Man and assumes he's not meant to be there. In their resulting scuffle, they inadvertently bring a wall down on top of themselves. Moon Knight takes Noriss to Valkyrie and reluctantly asks for her help, explaining how he ended up in Fury's custody. They head to Avengers Mansion to pick up Hellcat, only to find her unconscious with Wonder Man next to her. Unaware that Wonder Man had tried to save her, they attack him. Hellcat eventually regains consciousness and stops them. It's then that a video feed of Fury comes over the monitor asking that the Avengers turn Noriss over to SHIELD if they find him.

    Old School Greatness 0

I picked this up a few days ago. And I am more pleased with this book than most of the new books I got along with it. For less than the cost of a new book I got truly great art (Keith Giffen and Klaus Janson ) and a cool story. I also got Moon Knight and Nick Fury battling it out!!  Add Wonder Man before he got lame and Valkyre and Hellcat as well !!The Defenders original run back issue prices are pretty reasonable and well worth the cost.  For some good old school books try them !!...
