The struggle for control continues between Moondragon and Dragon of the Moon! Who will win this internal tug-of-war?
Moondragon recalls the events that lead her to Titan, when her family was killed by Thanos when she was a child. The memories traumatize her, and the Dragon of the Moon is worming its way into her mind. Valkyrie can sense her conflict.
Meanwhile, a mysterious woman gets out of a submarine and pretends to be an injured jogger to play on the sympathies of a fellow runner in New York.
Moondragon searches her body down to the cellular level to find the problem, and realizes that the plant monster they recently fought has infected her, despite her best efforts. The Dragon of the Moon plays off her fears and weaknesses, and says that it will heal her if she gives in to it. She refuses, to save her friends, but then it shows a scene of her friend Cloud telling Iceman that she now hates Moondragon for manipulating her.
Valkyrie, sensing that things are not going well, tells Candy, Dolly, and Sassafras to leave, and get help from the army. She also senses doom for herself, Angel, and Gargoyle.
Moondragon tries to hide in her happy memories, and recalls a time when the Runner found her on Titan, and took her on a joyous trip of the galaxy. For one of the first times in her recent life, she felt happy and carefree. Then she found that Runner was actually too cold for her, when he said that he would just watch a sun go nova and destroy some planets without warning the nearby planets. She returned to Titan. However the Dragon of the Moon, sensing this memory, manipulates her further and she finally agrees to give in to it.
Moondragon, now possessed by the Dragon of the Moon, confronts Val, Gargoyle, and Angel, and quickly dispenses with them, making Isaac's recently-regrown hand turn monstrous, blinding Angel, and seemingly disintegrating Val.
