From the Nolanverse: Who's plan, from each of their respective movies, did "better"? Joker's, or Bane's? Who's plan got the closest to succeeding?

The Joker

He had no plan.

The Joker technically won at the end of TDK, he beat Batman.

Same can't be said for Bane.

Bane got friend-zoned by Talia he loses.

Jokers victory seems apparent because TDK had a follow up in TDKR which explored the consequences of Jokers actions.Bane doesn't have that privilege so looking at it realistically Bane's siege of Gotham would have think tanks,intelligence agencies and armies around the world on high alert.

Imagine a major American city being held hostage by a militia with a nuke,thousands of inmates,widespread destruction & death,dummy courts,martial law,citizens being pulled out of their houses etc.

Take a look at what 9/11 did to the world and now imagine what this would do.

The Joker however wins in his own loony,twisted way,a victory that would only be effective against someone like Batman,put some other crime fighter (Punisher) in Batman's shoes and they wont even give a damn.

@entropy_aegis: that is the best thing anybody can say about the Dark knight rises! I mean Bane was pretty much a henchmen in the story, but still what you just said was, WOW

Nope,henchmen dont have people dying for them willingly.
