The original Badge was a hero who had received his powers from a superformula injected in his blood. He had unfortunatelly a twin brother, Roger Ryan, who was less than examplar, by becoming a criminal, but still he loved his brother.
When Ryan suffered a shooting, his brother the Badge when to a doctor who realized an emergency blood transfusion. After receiving a blood transfiusion from his twin brother, Roger also received the poowers of the Badge. However when the gansters came after Roger, they killed his brother and the docctor. Roger defeated the ganster and promised himself to star a differente life. He took over hte identity of his dead twin brother and became the heroic Badge, also taking care of his surviving family: his nephew Rick and his niece Roberta.
