(No Spoilers) Another good issue by DnA. Things finally seem to be looking up for The Authority. Angie doesn’t have total control of her nanites but it’s enough to get some cool action with her. Midnighter’s concern for the missing Apollo is very sad. It’s definitely a different take on the man whose been called the most dangerous killing machine on the planet. And the mystery behind what The Authority find in the bowels of The Carrier is interesting. As much as I like the Incubites, I fe...

Issue #11 opening up with interweaving theme of Midnighter and Apollo as literally star crossed lovers. Apollo hasn’t been seen in weeks and has been missing since the little before the Authority/Stormwatch crossover and this issue opens up with Midnighter releasing every signal balloon he can find in hopes that Apollo will return. Since the Carrier’s re-powering Angie seems to have intermittent control over her nano-tech, which she is using to clear out the lower decks of the Carrier. Jack also...

The evolution of a virus. Excellent, unpredictable issue. 1
If there's a superhero comic at the moment that deserves the term 'criminally underrated', this is it. With little recognition, this Authority series by Abnett & Lanning has been doing something that doesn't happen often enough: taking a genuinely new approach to an iconic set of characters. Anyone who's heard of this run will know the key theme here is impotence, the humbling of a superstar team in a world it didn't save and can barely navigate.
