The Rocky Of Marvel Comics 0

I have to admit, I think it's funny, that most of these early Spiderman adventures take on the same pace as a Rocky movie. At first Rocky steps into the ring and loses only to think of a way to make a good comeback. Exactly what he does here. I still think the Vulture is a "mort" of a villain, but the book is an easy and harmless read. With plenty of the characters remaining stagnant in their roles. Although I think J. We Get A Return From Him? 0

So the first villian to return is the Vulture. Say WHAT!? Ok i give him props as an early Spidey foe but should he not be dead yet.  So of course the cliches happen model citizen ,stealing parts from the shop escaping prisonby flying over the wall. meanwhile Peter has to feign being a weakling at school and of course the radio comes on with the report Vulture has escaped. The Return Of The Vulture 0

Stan opts to close out the latest issue of Amazing Spider-Man with a blurb along the lines that nothing about Spider-Man was ever or will ever be typical, and for once he's not waxing hyperbole. While Lee and Ditko sometimes rely on breaking the mold too much to the point where storytelling suffers here (much of Sp...

    Surprisingly Good 0

Part of CV's Top 100 Spider-Man Universe Stories - reviewed!Quick, who was the first villain to really hurt Spider-Man? Dock Ock? Doc Doom? The Lizard? Actually it was The Vulture. Yes, you read that right - The Vulture. And that's what makes this issue so great. Of all the villains Spidey has fought, the one that definitely seems like a B-lister at best is The Vulture, an old guy whose only power is that he can fly. Yet the way this story is written and drawn by Stan Lee and Steve Ditko, you to...
