    - With only a few issues left of The Amazing Spider-Man we get a prelude of things to come with Dying Wish. I'm not sure why but the cover for this issue is just creepy, not sure if it's the art style or just a wrinkled up Doctor Octopus. I'm glad to see the art return, unlike The Amazing Spider-Man #697 - Danger Zone, Part Three: War of the Goblins, I actually enjoyed it. As for the story, I just don't know. It seems like they could have done a lot more with it. At the start you see Octavius on The Raft mumbling Peter Parker. We then switch to Pete doing normal day to day things, and thinking about his life. Peter is eventually take to the Raft by the Avengers where all is revealed. This makes the start of the issue make a little more sense but not entirely. I'd assume the next two issues will explain how all this happened but it seems confusing at first. It also makes you think about prior appearances of Spider-Man and who is actually in control. I hope the next two issues clear things up because right now I'm confused.

Dan Slott run on this series has been amazing (pardon the pun) and although it has had a few bumps along the way it has been one of the best runs on a Spider-Man series for a good few years. As this series creeps closer to the 700th issue it keeps getting more exciting and interesting to find out what the big surprise will be.PlotThis issue starts with an alert at The Raft sounding armed guards to Doctor Octopus's room where he's mumbling the words Peter Parker. Meanwhile Peter is getting on wit...

This issue got ranted and raved about like crazy, and I left this until lower in my pull list because all that buzz got me excited. But when I started reading the issue, I kept waiting for that moment, that big twist that had everyone up in arms or in awe.Don't get me wrong, the rest of the issue is perfectly fine. It's actually really well executed jumping on point, summarizing every recent major plot point and piece of the current status quo as we go through a current day in Spider-Man's life....
