@winter_kills: I've never liked the way Hollywood has treated Leo. This is the dude who fought solo with the Shredder and decapitated him in the original comics. Hell, in the original movie, Leo was the one who was supposed to be badly beaten by the Foot Clan-- instead, Raphael was given the scene. And for those who call Leo bland, that beating he got was an important part to his character development. He was morally damaged, but eventually rose from the ashes to confront the demons that had once humiliated him.

    I want to see that.

Honestly, this trailer really turned me off. I've been optimistic about this film even through all the backlash at the start.

This trailer really made me feel like I'm watching transformers....except anthropomorphic turtles instead of anthropomorphic cars.

Megan Fox is hot though so I'll probably still go see it ;)

Amen to that, bro, totally agree with you. Like I said earlier, I felt Leo was like the "Captain America" of the Turtles- and he had a bushido type mentality going on, which I liked. He was the Turtle that most followed Splinter's teachings and had the most potential. He was the binding force of his family, the cool-headed one, and I relate to that and as a kid I wanted to be him. I didn't care what people said, he was my favorite Turtle. And it was always awesome to see that Foot Can fight- a fight he handled himself well in despite being ambushed and grossly outnumbered- and seeing him broken spiritually after the Foot Clan fight, but fight back- regaining his spirit and confidence and being the one that took Shredder down in one of the most awesome comic panels ever. Has a comic decapitation ever been handled better in a panel? I think not. Yes, his brothers gave him strength through family- but they only reciprocated what he gave them. And it made the group a better team because of it. To say Leo is bland is like saying Batman or Daredevil or Cap is bland- and none of them- including Leo- are. It's short-sighted people that haven't looked at the source material that do this, that only use certain shows and movies as references. I'm glad the crew of the 2003 show and the new Nick show gets this, and shows Leo as the stalwart, formidable hero he is. (inc. the CGI film where he was taking down bandits in the jungle, that was pretty badass.) These reasons are why he wields the most sacred and honored weapon, the katana. Like you, I want to see Leo get the respect he deserves in live-action- but I fear like always he'll be pushed aside for the attitude and one-liners of Raph and Mikey. But people in the know, they know how integral Leo is. Team Leo unite!

@winter_kills: Couldn't of said it better myself :) I share the same disappointments Cyclops fans had when the leadership role was shafted from him and given to Wolverine. My favorite Leo incarnations are the comic book and cartoon(specifically the 2003 and 2012 cartoons) versions. I can only dream, but I wish they go the IDW "Dark Leo" route for the character in the Nickelodeon cartoon.

Speaking of Captain America, Joss Whedon had moments where he used him poorly in the Avengers. What a great idea to have Cap simply just hang onto the Helicarrier the entire time, during the infiltration scene. Thank God for Winter Soldier!

Eric Sachs is playing Shredder so I doubt he was talking to Shredder.

    @sentryman555:

Yeah, I like Leo myself. I feel like he's the Captain America of the Turtles, kind-hearted, noble, heroic, a balancing & rallying force for the brothers/team.(I see Donnie as the Reed Richards of the group.) But when you mentioned that you knew this film wasn't going to be a masterpiece, this came into my mind- just imagine it in R. Lee Ermey's voice: "This movie's so ugly it could be a modern art masterpiece!"

LOL about the R. Lee Ermey voice. But the captain america similarity is a great way to put it. I feel like Leo is the one that really keeps the group together. So I'm hoping he gets some awesome moments to shine in the movie as well.

I ain't gonna complain about this whole Michael Bay shenanigans, I'm gonna watch this TMNT and rate it on my mind how this is gonna turn it. Shredder looks wickedly badass, the turtles are much cooler and Megan Fox is still hot and she's a brilliant choice as April. One thing the trailer needs is little bit more of Splinter.

@sentryman555: Yeah I totally agree wit ya man. I saw a pic that had Leo holding Cap's shield once, and that analogy has stuck in my head ever since. He deserves a lot more respect from not just the audiences, but the movie makers as well. Leo's the glue!!

Yeah, me too! The movies first made Cyke look like a total flake, then unceremoniously killed him off in X3, and I was like "What the Hell?" They wanted to make Wolverine the center of the X-Men universe because of his attitude & popularity- but sorry everybody, Wolverine isn't a leader. We share the same view- those are my fave versions of Leo too, they really get him & give him a lot of respect and in the case of the shows screen time. Heck yeah,, it'd be cool if they did explore the "Dark Leo" idea- I'd be all for it. I thought at first they were going to be doing something like it with the Karai subplot in the Nick show, but they didn't- but that doesn't mean they won't at some point in the future. Regardless, so far IDW, Nick & the 2003 show have done right by Leo, if only the movies would follow suit.

And I totally agree with you on Whedon's use of Cap in the Avengers! I mean, I love the Avengers- it's one of my favorite comic films of all time(though Winter Soldier blew it out of the water for me), but Cap was definitely underused. I think Whedon underestimates his abilities because he's not "super-powered", and just looks at him from the leadership standpoint- he's forgetting what makes Cap great is that yes, he's a great leader, but he's America's freakin' super-soldier- and that he is also an underdog- constantly facing insurmountable odds and opponents far more powerful than himself- and coming out on top because of his sheer guts, skill, tactics & heart. And still being able to hold a team as chaotic as the Avengers together, and all the teams of the MU on more than one occasion, like the Secret Wars. (Some recent comic portrayals of Cap beyond the works of the great Ed Brubaker have pissed me off in their mischaracterization and underutilization of Cap too.) I agree with you- in that Helicarrier scene he should've been going through kicking all kinds of ass, with and without his shield, fighting hand-to-hand and using anything he could get his hands on, guns, knives etc. That's Cap. But like you said, Thank God for the Winter Soldier! Amen to that, brother! They captured everything that makes Cap great- not just in ass-kicking(and they showed lots of ass-kicking!!), but in his character as well. Can't wait for Captain America 3! (I feel like maybe I'll enjoy it more than Avengers: Age of Ultron, I dunno.) Cap, Leo & Cyke are definitely kindred spirits and I'll stand up for all three of them to the bitter end.

Why so much hate and crying whenever Bay is involved in a movie or Fox? lol nevermind...I've come to accept how judgmental people are even if the movie will be good...but seriously, get over it already. Tired of seeing countless comments about that in every new TMNT trailer or Transformer...

Looks good, a hell of a lot better then the last two TMNT movies....

Mikey seems very current TV TMNT cartoon inspired I can tell... "yeah, yeah we will find you...oh sorry that sounded creepy" lol

I lol @ the part where she took their pic and I think it was Donny who said "Raph doing his Batman voice again" lol

Wonder who the random white guy is helping them is? Casey Jones? Probably not...

Lastly, maybe it's just me but the Shredder costume/armor looks like they combined literally current cartoon Shredder +90's movie shredder+hint of super shredder+ultrom shredder=TMNT 2014 shredder lol, think he has enough blades from every suit...geez lol

    "They're aliens?"

"No, that's stupid, they're turtles." lol, kinda like Bay saying "f*ck you" to all the people whining when they thought they were aliens.

Anyway. Don't know how i feel about this film, some of it seemed funny, some of it seems cheesy. And the dubstep wasn't helping. I'll go see it, but my expectations aren't very high.

    Sums it up for me.
