Which custom you think is better?
Taskmaster
Character » Taskmaster appears in 731 issues.
Taskmaster possesses the ability to absorb knowledge and instantly replicate the combat skills of anyone he observes. He has used these skills as a teacher to many super villains, henchmen, and even some heroes. In order to clean his record, he started working for the U.S. government as a combat instructor. Due to a set of events, he was ultimately put in as sheriff of the criminal island known as Bagalia. He currently serves as Madame Hydra's personal bodyguard.
Better Look!
i Like both, the second one is more "real" world and the first is more comic world. I kinda like the second one better, I'm not a big fan of capes.
The first one has nostalgia value, but not much else. It's kind of a mess. The second, however, is brilliant. It takes the core elements of the classic costume and brings a modern, 'black-ops' feel to them.
Hmmm, like both, first for nostalgic/classic reasons, second one, more, as someone else stated, "black ops" fine tuned down to earth version. Will go with the second one as far as bringing him into the future goes.
"The first reminds me too much of moon knight"I think that is what he is going for with the cape and hood. I might be imagining this but I could have sworn I read a comic when he was a "good" guy training people he would wear a specific tshirt to show who he is fighting as. But again I might just be imagining that.
The first one is classic, but for him being a professional mercenary the second one just makes a whole lot more sense. Especially when he uses the solid light device for weapons. It never made sense to me how he could leap and flip around like Spider-Man or Daredevil while carrying all of that gear around.
He looks more of a badass in the first, but the second is more likely to be a real mercenary's suit. Hi-Tech gear on the secon one is cool and very practical, but still i prefer old school one.
first. its vintage and screams " Taskmaster ".
has that Skeletor face so you can get a sense of his mood.
Second one is a little too Doom-meets-Shield for my taste.
I like the first one, a subdued version of the classic.
I like both like most of everyone here, but the second one has a nice modern feel without losing the Taskmaster vibe. Both, however, have similarities to other heroes/villains. Not that it's a bad thing, but just throwing it out there.
" Harlekin said:I think it is actually because David Finch was unaware that Taskmaster had an another costume and he was the one who drew taskmaster in his heavily advertised push in Moon Knight. How do I know? because I asked him why he chose to use the old costume ( he was singing my New Avengers #1 and #5 at the time ) and he said that he did not know that Taskmaster had a different outfit"The second one was the one I liked and wonder why they dropped."Probably because the first is a lot better. "
The fist one looks like a physical representation of his powers, just him taking parts of other people to make his costume. The second one looks more original. To be honest, I am fine either way.
I loved the second one when that mini came out, I'd been waiting for an update for years. I don't really mind that he went back to his original costume these days, guess the years have softened me because I was pretty pissed when I saw him back in the original. I still like the second one more though.
The first costume looks better and it fits the character better, while the other costume limits the character.
Most people look at the costume and think that he is being held down by all the weapons (at least that is what I've seen each time this discusion is made). However, this is not the case. He trains to fight with all those weapons just like Iron Man does with a bulky suit of armor, Hawkeye does with his bow & arrows, and Captain America with his shield. No other character in the Marvel Universe comes close to having an arsenal like Taskmaster. Plus it works with the character because it works with his photographic reflexes, allowing him to use one weapon after another or even two or three weapons at the sametime (like he did when he took on both Captain America and Iron Man).
On a side note... over the years a lot of people (not here from what I have seen I might add) have claimed that Taskmaster is a Skeletor rip-off, however Taskmaster was created before Skeletor.
I am pleased to see that most people like the UDON outfit better I like it better too his old outfit is just so out dated he could at least get rid of the white undies on the out side of his pants I mean come on Superman and Batman got rid of theirs and his are no where near as iconic as theirs were
