Bye Bye Birdie
It was a fun run while it lasted but sadly one of my favorite series came to an end today. Talon started off as such a promising story arc and each character seemed to have amazing development. Towards the middle things got a little rough with the story and the ending seemed a bit rushed. There are still questions with out answers like whatever happened to the First Talon and what happened to Owlman (Lincoln March)? Hopefully those questions will still be answered in the Batman series or so.
Without giving much away I give the issue a 4/5.
The Cover alone was a 5
The story line (even though rushed) was a 4
The art work seemed rushed and lazy so 3 because some scenes still made up for it.
bonus points go for that awesome Pokemon reference though.
If you are a fan of Talon or would like to know more about the league of assassins I strongly recommend this issue.
I truly wished that Snyder and March would have stayed on the project with Tynion. When Snyder and Tynion bounce ideas of each other they can generate amazing characters and story lines and with March as an artist, you can already tell it's going to be an amazing series.
