Taren makes a fatal decision, leaving the Atom to pick up the pieces. Will he lead the rebels of a miniature alien society living in secret in the Amazon Jungle to war against their oppressors?

Atom fills his role as leader of the rebellion and during an ant stampede Taren takes his life. Everything is building up toward the battle at Morlaidn. The only thing is the mysterious figure who is sending information about the rebellion to Deraegis. Deraegis is planning to take over the kingdom during the battle.

Jean Loring also consummates her affair with Paul Hoben. The next day she gets a call that make her believe Ray Palmer is still alive. She then goes to Brazil to find Ray.

This fast paced series doesn't leave much room for any kind of slow plot developments or lack of action and so this series once again delivers a mostly fast paced and interesting issue, even if there are some lapses in the logic of the plot at times.  With Atom chosen as the replacement commander and Voss in as his second-in-command, it is only a matter of time until the final attack is launched, but Ray is hesitant because he knows what Taren intends to do when the army is assembled.  This lead...
