Out of any actor who do you hear when you read a Superman comic? Before the New 52 I heard Christopher Reeve, but now I hear Tom Welling.

Danny Dark, the voice of Superman in every season of the "Super Friends" series, is the voice I hear.

i hear tom's voice for Superboy but Nolan North is doing a damn good job of making me think otherwise

@xxxddd: Tom looks like superman, however he never really sound like Superman, imo.

I pick Tim Daly. I grew up with him on SAS.

Definitely George Newbern.

I don't really know..

Christopher Reeves comes to mind almost instantly, but I haven't seen that movie in years.

I always hear his voice as Christopher Reeve.

#16 Posted by nyanmatt (3 posts) - - Show Bio

Easily George Newbern.

The Super Friends voice. A guy named Danny Dark, apparently. His voice was stentorian. He sounded like Superman. None of these other actors sound powerful. Compared to the booming voice in Super Friends they sound soft and weak.

Mostly Tim Daly, but sometimes it's a made up voice that's a bit lighter but still friendly and heartwarming, you know to gain his trust and all?

#27 Posted by ComicStooge (20999 posts) - - Show Bio

Chris Tucker.

#28 Posted by mpierce2690 (331 posts) - - Show Bio

Christopher Reeve when it's Clark, Tim Daly when it's Superman, though I have to admit that Tom Welling gave some great Superman-type speeches on Smallville.

Superman TAS was AWESOME!

It depends which comic I'm reading, if its one of the golden or silver age stories it would be the either the one from the max fletcher cartoon, George reeves, Christopher reeve or the one in super friends, if its a modern one it would be Tim daly, kingdom come or any other tale it's George newbern and if its superman beyond its the one from batman beyond who also voice jor el in superman tas. Same applies for other characters like batman.

George Newbern fused somehow with Nolan North's Young Justice Superman. Clark Kent gets more North than Newbern.

Call it cliche but I will always hear Christopher Reeve's voice. When I'm reading any Supes comic I always sort of hear it in the back of my head so to speak.

It switches between any one these guys, Christopher Reeves, George Newbern, Henry Cavill, Tom Welling, Brandon Routh, and Time Daily, but mostly Hnery Cavil.

#41 Posted by TheCannon (20267 posts) - - Show Bio

Tim Daly. Aside from him just being the best person to voice him (in my opinion), the first thing I saw for Supes was Superman: the Animated Series with Tim voicing him. So he'll always be special.

#42 Posted by Dracade102 (8452 posts) - - Show Bio

My brain usually switches between Christopher Reeves and Tim Daly.
