@sethysquare: I loved Cornell's run on Action Comics. Even though it was 5 issues, he wrote a compelling Superman. I wouldn't mind him coming back. His schedule would allow it seeing as he's just writing Demon Knights and his own Veritgo title. 2 or 3 titles seems to be an average for comic book writers nowadays.

@Lvenger: Yeah. I would not mind to see him return but I would love for a new writer to try it out. But I would not mind at all if Paul Cornell takes over AC

@sethysquare: I have a hunch that a new writer will be brought on though. Look at Detective Comics, they've got John Layman (I think that's his name), the writer of Chew on that and they brought Snyder onto Detective Comics before the reboot as well when his American Vampire work was up and coming. I can't be sure obviously but I think DC might try and bring something fresh to Action Comics as well.

@sethysquare: So he wrote I, Vampire and Top Cow's Pilot amongst other things? Interesting choice. What do you think he'd bring to the table?

@sethysquare: I've just found out that Hale has written Superman before. Well in Superman/Batman anyway. He wrote a 3 part storyline called the Secret before the reboot. It actually seemed quite interesting. He might be all right as a matter of fact.

@sethysquare: I have him as the best alternative to take Action Comics,it is rarely used in DC and his work in the comics was awesome.I like to have focused on a villain, take a different position, like what was done with the Penguin,is the kind of work that has to be done more often. It's like what I read in an article about the DC comics make films about their charactersand quite agree with what the guy wrote, better known than the heroes are the villains, they are recognized worldwide and are better known than those of Marvel and they deserve more attention.

That kind of attitude that the publisher has to make.

@sethysquare: I wish DC would hurry up and tell us who is replacing Morrison on Action Comics though. All this waiting and speculating is getting on my nerves. So far I've narrowed it down to these guys:

    1. Paul Cornell
    2. Joshua Hale Fialkov
    3. Joe Kelly (Personal Choice for me)

@Lvenger: Yeah it's irritating considering that Issue 16 is closing in extremely quickly. My thoughts are that they had to have already chosen a new writer so he could've planned out a few issues in advance to pick up right where Morrison left off.

@Deranged Midget: Morrison has left a lot to finish off with. The Phantom Zoners, the Anti Superman Army, the Multitude, all of these ideas are gonna be difficult to close off in 3 issues.

@Lvenger: Yeah it's true, but it doesn't mean the next writer has to follow in Morrison's footsteps. Look at Lobdell and Superman, he's jumping into an entirely different ballpark.

@Deranged Midget: That remains to be seen whether it's a good thing. Still I have to admit Lobdell might do better than Perez and Giffen/Jurgens have so far on Superman. If the next writer of Action Comics doesn't do a good job, I may be tempted to switch over to Superman.

@Lvenger: I'm picking up both regardless, and as of right now, you can't do much worse than Perez and Jurgens, but anything could happen. I'm not putting my hopes up with Lobdell.

Well that's another one added to my suspect list. Although I have a suspicion about DC introducing an independent writer on Action Comics, it's more likely that they'd look within their own stock of writers before branching out.

I knew I recognised the Spirit's depiction from somewhere. Well that puts him out of the running most likely. Still there are other writers DC can turn to.

Am I the only one who thinks China Mieville is the perfect replacement for Morrison? From what I`ve seen he`s really the only one weird enough to take over. All the other writers would do great jobs but they`d basically be starting from scratch since most of their styles are more linear straightforward.

If Darwyn Cook comes on, I hope he wouldn't be drawing because I like the art team on Action now. I'm hoping Darwyn could just write the issues, he is pretty good a writer IMO.
