When I first read the book, I really hated the art, i thought it looked hideous. The art later grew onto to and I started to like it. I would like it if it was used in other comics.
What do you think of the art? Did you like it or hated it?
Character » Superman appears in 18939 issues.
I love it. Quitely definitely has a unique style but it works for the regality that I like Superman to show. That, and he's one of the few artists that really accentuates the physical differences between Superman and Clark Kent.
Having said that, I understand why some people don't care for it.

Have you read his Authority run?
Not read much WildStorm stuff. Would like to. Haven't the time at the moment. Would like to read a lot of Authority, Gritfer, Mister Majestic and maybe NextGen...maybe.

NOT a fan of Quitely's art, although this isn't that bad.
...Sacks of Potatoes... lol. I still remember that.

Ah. Well, don't look forward to his run was my point.
nothing short of classic it captures the true essance of silver age superman the bright colors and quitleys style is so unique cris burnumh comes close. i mean the escape from bizzaro wold issues quitleys bizzaro is the best and his bizzaro world , zibbarro , lex luthors facial expretions in the end of issue 12. i mean come on.
Not a fan at all. Not classic. Not revolutionary. Not eye catching. Average at best! Also dislike how the clothes always look ill-fitting!

You guys are crazy. It's great art.
Can you spot the woman in this picture?
My first read through i thought it was fine. Didn't hate it, wasn't overly ecstatic about it either. Reading it more though i started noticing the level of detail in Frank Quitely's art and really started apprciate his style now i'm a real big fan.
I loved his Pax americana issue in multiversity and i mostly(about 60%) read Jupiter's Legacy for the art.
I'd put Quitely's art in All-Star Superman as some of the best Superman art period. I'm not saying he's in the same league as John Byrne because no one is. Well, Pat Gleason is getting there.
@saintwildcard: That's not even remotely fair. His art in All-Star has improved far beyond that.

Not by much honestly. Lex looks like a deformed testicle, and Clark looks like a school boy with make up on his face.
Quietly is definitely an acquired taste and Im still not entirely sure if I like it, but for the most part I think it went well with the series and was pretty good.
Can't stand it. All these characters look bloated to me (like they're having multiple cancers or something) and - ugh - that short Superman's cape :P
