I don't think Billy has done anything to warrant him being considered for the smartest. He supposedly has the Wisdom of Solomon, yet he doesn't have many impressive displays of using it, and they are few and far between. Not to mention wisdom does necessarily mean great intelligence.

This, I don't entirely agree with. I may not be opposed to it but I do not holistically support it either. I see intelligence as the combination of wisdom and knowledge. Wisdom having to do with learning, understanding, application of perceptions, awareness, logic, etc. with knowledge only holding information. So in a sense, it is the biggest part in actually being intelligent. Just my 2 cents.

@BlackArmor: WHAT !!! Sentry is stronger then Superman ? Are you high ? Whisky Tango Foxtrot... I don't think the Sentry can move planets. Sups can.

I do not deny that intelligence and wisdom often go hand and hand. I was simply stating when brought down to their base definitions wisdom and intelligence are not one in the same. Wisdom is the sum of your acquired knowledge or your ability to judge well based on your own past experiences. It can be seen as something you obtain and build upon throughout your entire life. Intelligence is one's capacity to both learn and apply knowledge, and it is something that is innate within someone. One's ability to efficiently obtain, process, and apply information isn't something that you can improve once you've reached a certain age, or at least not to any great extent. Great intelligence can lead to great wisdom, and wisdom plays a role in intelligence as well, they just aren't exactly the same.

Billy Batson is my favourite out of the 'clones' but Icon comes in a close second.

Ok, I'm a Superman fan till the end, and Supes wins in all these categories for me. That said I want to put up my second place winners.

1. Who was the strongest? This is a tough one to answer. I want to say Supreme or Samaritan, but I can't prove that. I've seen a great amount of over-the-top feats that were performed by Mr. Majestic, feats that put him in the distant outfield of Silver Age SM's ballpark IMO.
2. Who was the most heroic? Shazam, hands down. His kindness and purity surpasses all other Supes-Alternates
3. Who was the smartest? Miracleman, from Neil Gaimens run.
4. Who was the fastest? Same here as question number one. Just Going on the merits of feats that I have seen him perform, and actually remember, the winner is Mr. Majestic again.
5. Who has the best costume? Shazam, even Elvis thought so.
6. Who has the best powers? Shazam, I know them by heart: wisdom of Solomon, strength of Hercules, stamina of Atlas, power of Zeus, courage of Achilles, and the speed of Mercury.
7. Who is your favourite? Miracleman, Alan Moores re-imagining.
8. Who has the strongest team members? Apollo. Apollo has Midnighter, Jack Hawksmoor, the Doctor, the Engineer, Swift... Each of them is a powerhouse on their own, together they are only comparable to the JLA.
9. Who is the most famous? Shazam (When I shouted Shazam out as a punchline, my 26 year old, knows-absolutely-nothing-about-comics, wife got the reference. On another occasion I mentioned Gladiator, to which she incredulously asked "They put that Russell Crow character in a comic book?")
10. Who did you hate the most? Plutonian, from Irredeemable/Incorruptible

2. Who was the most heroic? - Superman. I'll be hated for this but perhaps Sentry as well. The way he went out was just simply heroic in epic terms.
3. Who was the smartest? - Majestic and some incarnations of Superman (PC, All-Star, and Earth-One to name a few)

It's more so that he's completely invulnerable. The whole crux of the miniseries came from the fact that it was okay for himself to have sold his soul to the Devil to become Superior, since as Superior he'll never die of old age or injury and therefore Satan will never be able to collect on the bargain.

I actually don't mind these characters inspired by superman...............just as long as they represent him well ..................i kinda wish that sentry didn't loose to thor
