Sent to Earth as an infant from the dying planet Krypton, Kal-El was adopted by the loving Kent family and raised in America's heartland as Clark Kent. Using his immense solar-fueled powers, he became Superman to defend mankind against all manner of threats while championing truth, justice, and the American way!
Hm... I must go back to review those comics... I don´t know..
If I remember correctly ... superman(earth one) just started as superman... and new52 superman was active during 5 years... New52 superman should be more powerful and for the justice league.. It does not yet exist on earth one.
Oh I misread this in terms of power levels, my bad for misunderstanding. Neither come close to presenting a proper representation of Superman's character, personality or values but based on the few times where a writer just wrote Superman as if he were the classic Superman rather than the young and brash inexperienced hero he was often portrayed as, New 52 gets the edge.
I enjoyed Earth One far more than anything in NEW 52, and as the series continues Clark is slowly moving closer to the Superman in terms of morals, actions and decisions. This is all new for him and even by Volume 3 he has not been Superman for a year, hell I would not even say 6 months and he is trying.
I went with Earth One but I might have clicked none of the above if it was an option since neither is all that memorable. Quite a bit less to Earth One but so much more consistency.
Earth One, I thought it was a much better modern update of the character and feels like its moving towards the classic Superman. I find him much more relatable and enjoyable in those stories. With New 52 Superman I didnt feel compelled to read much and with gimmicks like Truth it is hard to want to.
