There's a new teaser poster for Man of Steel hitting the internet.

The shot looks a little fuzzy but apparently this shot was seen in the footage shown at Comic-Con this past summer.

As part of an exclusive reveal for the home video release of The Dark Knight Rises, the new Man of Steel poster was revealed on the Dark KnightFacebook page. The movie will be in theaters on June 14, 2013.

Very interesting. I like the mature route they're taking with Superman. Should really demonstrate why he's the king of all superheroes once and for all. Cahill really pulls off the Superman look here.

I'm not really into DC comics but I did read Superman Earth One Vol 1 & 2. Are they using that basic story line? Or is this completely new?

Really maybe foolishly thought we would get some teaser footage. To me it looks like Clark is allowing himself to be arrested and it would be in character for Superman to allow himself to be arrested even if he could break out.

I dont know if it's just me, But if you look closely the soldiers appear to have a symbol on their helmet.

Completely new as far as I'm concerned. Didnt Superman fight an alien warlord or something in Earth One? Well, in MOS he's fighting General Zod

Anything purposefully "dark and edgy" usually pulls the opposite opinion from me these days. Although this looks more "moody" than "grim and gritty".

Is he depowered, is he letting them take him into custody? Interesting either way.

Sweet. I love the dynamic of Supes being in handcuffs while easily being able to escape.

It looks cool. While I'll go see both Iron Man 3 and Man of Steel, I'm more excited to see this movie.

This is kind of an odd choice for a movie poster...but I'm ok with it. Interesting symbolic meaning with the light behind him...

@RedQueen: Maybe, but the symbol looks like the triangular shield Superman uses. Perhaps a "Superman Containment/Capture Squad."

I would like it if they borrowed from Grant Morrison's Action Comics run abit. I would also like to know how much of krypton we'll be seeing; is it just going to be in the sequence when Superman leaves or are we going to get more flashbacks? (I'm hoping for flashbacks).

Not an ideal image for a poster, but I do like it. It really sets the tone.

Reminds me of the Justice League Unlimited cartoon where all of the super-powered members of the original seven turn themselves into the government even though they could easily escape to assure the people they are on their side.

Hope this movie turns out well! Just read All Star Superman and I really enjoyed it. Haven't been much of a Superman fan, but I'm looking forward to this and reading some more of his better volumes!
