In fact given Superman power levels and if we are to assume he's using real X-Rays, there's no real reason for Superman to not see through led.
While I was in college I did a project in my second year where we used a 5inch led plate (that's roughly about 12.7cm) and a X-Ray emitter, we rented three portable house generators to feed the device. And we got through the led plate.
The point of the project would take too much text to fully explain. What matters is that given enough amount of power, X-Rays can go through anything.
And Superman should possess that power.
Has for the hearing part. Superman can detect sounds across the planet, so a led wall even if it was 5 inches wouldn't be much of a deterrent. Not to someone with such unexplainable capability to hear sounds.
