Which Superman do you all like do you still like to stick with old school or do you like superman 52 outfit better?
Superman
Character » Superman appears in 18939 issues.
Sent to Earth as an infant from the dying planet Krypton, Kal-El was adopted by the loving Kent family and raised in America's heartland as Clark Kent. Using his immense solar-fueled powers, he became Superman to defend mankind against all manner of threats while championing truth, justice, and the American way!
Best Supes Outfit
I HATED the briefs. I just wish artist would keep the armor effect and lines lower and diminish the collar. Also, the New 52 one could add yellow to the belt and be perfect.

Like this one?
The S logo is off, and the red at the end of the sleeves makes it look like a pajama top. Plus, the yellow on the belt isn't consistent. But other than that, yeh. I like the yellow cape symbol in Earth-2 more than the black one on mainstream Supes
@Rumble Man: Where's that from?
I don't dislike the new outfit, but it could have been a thousand times better. It was a lazy redesign.
Surprised no one has mentioned this one already:
To me, this is one of the most awesome Superman designs ever:
I mean, c'mon.
This is going to be my favorite "Superman" costume though I think the belt should have been white, that or add more red to the costume.
However I've always liked the black take on his costume (including SuperMan Prime wearing it in picture 4)...minus the guns of course, in picture 3...
A bit off topic but I've also liked the design of his "Superman Family costumes" especially DCNU Superboy (picture 4), i'd vote that costume my favorite for his derived characters. It is worth noting that only 2 of the costumes had the "briefs" (superboy prime, picture 5, and cyborg Superman, picture 1) but they didn't look bad with the costumes. Steel (Pic 2) and Eradicator (pic 3) were ahead of their time (Steel does have kind of have a "brief" look like superboy prime though, but much less contrast), I really hope they bring back those costumes to DCnU, I don't like current Steel.
I'd also put this one in for his pre-superman-costume attire, Clark Kent in the matrix-verse ...
@Rumble Man That's just ugly, in my opinion.

The only outfit he should ever wear again:
I don't know why people keep bringing this up (not in this thread, but certainly in others). It looks HORRIBLE.
@drgnx: I really like that first one.
I've always liked the Kingdom Come outfit, but that black one might just be my favorite.
@KnightRise: The one where Superman is fighting WW is from Earth 2 DCnU
@blackadamFTW:
Yes it took me by surprise too, I like the new designs, but as far as briefs go, K.C. was not bad.
The briefs didn't bother me till they were gone, and I was like good riddance. The Funny thing was I didn't really notice when they took away Batman's, but they did it casually over the years, by blending and darkening the costume, to the point where I had actually never really thought about it. Granted there were the occasional distractions.

I love that costume. That's not Earth2 , though. It was the original Golden Age Superman even before the distinction of Golden vs Silver Age began.
I really like the replacement of yellow with black on Superman's "S" Shield.
Also can anyone tell me why did they change the color around this time? Just curious.
New 52 one is pretty good. It got rid of the dang outside underwear!
@ShowboatingPenguin: he did that after the our worlds at war story,i think it was to signify respect for the fallen or something like that.

@blackadamFTW: I love the Turner Superman outfit from Godfall. Best Costume so far
I just don't see why people like it.
@ssejllenrad:Thats just what the pic said lol
Batman wears panties too, but their black, so that's manly

from dc database :
The war is won, but at a high price with so many missing or dead, and so much destruction all over the world. (SeeOur Worlds At War! for more details about the conflict). Superman adopts a modified costume, one with a black background on his S-shield (instead of a yellow one) and a black S on the cape. Thankfully, his parents turn up alive and well, first his mother and then his father, although his father is suffering some memory lapses.
this pretty much
Really liked how he looked in The New Frontier, maybe it was more the art style than the costume itself, and yeah, it was probably that, but oh well.
The New 52 outfit by a mile, Big blue has never looked so good.

I love that cover so much (The comic wasn't that great imo), I can't seem to find a picture of it without all the text though. :(

This and the black one are the best and it never hurt to have Rochefort as an artist (everything he draws is excelent)
