Yeah, glad to see Oz is an active force story-wise. I was afraid he'd be put on the backburner for months. Seems they are tackling him and his part in the altered DC universe head on.

I am very intrigued with the time-frame in this. Jurgens said this will all take place in a day. So I wonder what we are looking here.

I will admit it.. I start reading comics because of the New 52 and this is the first time ever I got hooked on Superman books. This is sooooo soooo good.

Looks like Action Comics will be living up to the action part of the name. Despite the potential overuse and reliance on plot device that Doomsday can be, this should make for a well crafted fight, especially since Jurgens is writing it.

@theexile285: This is supposed to be Pre Flashpoint Doomsday according to Jurgens so this Doomsday is back to being a legitimate destructive threat to everyone compared to the pushover New 52 Doomsday ended up being.

Just read the issue, there's a lot of fighting, but we get more teases as to the new Clark's motivations, the action is great and the art really catching

"Pushover" is really excessive, it's hard to make a comparision between them but at least the new-52 superman fight with his doomsday was far more enjoyable and impressive than this one.

Perhaps in terms of spectacle I can agree with you but I'm enjoying this one more than the New 52 fight with Doomsday. That one was overly brutal at times. Also, Doomsday is actually proving too much for Superman unlike the New 52 version of this fight.

Read it thought this was boring.

Such a "detailed" review....exactly what do you want from Superman?

I thought this issue was fire, really enjoyed reading it. Was a rollercoaster!

Good issue. Interesting too. Eager to see what's next with that ending.

Solid issue. Not much plot advancement but the pace and spectacle were so good that I enjoyed it more than the first issue.

Is it the original Doomsday? How did he come back??
