He is also known for being a sort of sidekick to Superboy becoming his companion after Superman saw he had no time to give to the very social canine. He has also appeared in his own cartoon series.
Created by Joe Simon and Jack Kirby, Guardian was once a cop named Jim Harper, patrolling Metropolis's Suicide Slum. Harper eventually becomes the vigilante known as Guardian to "guard" society from crooks.

Lois Lane is a Pulitzer Prize-winning journalist for the Daily Planet of Metropolis. She was the first reporter to interview Superman after he first appeared in Metropolis. Superman later revealed his secret identity to her; the two married and have a son, Jon Kent.
Kara Zor-El is Superman's cousin and last survivor of Krypton's Argo City. She has a brash and defiant personality that she developed in response to the destruction of Krypton. Currently, she's operating out of National City alongside the D.E.O.
Friend of Kara Zor-El, Thara Ak-Var was the Chief of Security on Kandor and now Flamebird.
The father of Lois Lane with a strong hatred for Kryptonians, he is currently involved with the Suicide Squad.

Lar Gand was an explorer from the planet Daxam who sacrificed himself to save Earth. Lar, whom came to be known as Mon-El, was a member of the Justice League and friend of Superman in the modern era and is a member of the Legion of Superheroes in the future.
