Man of Steel in a Graphic Novel
All in all, a well-told Superman story with very good art. Although I usually hate retelling origin stories that even non comic book readers know, this book does a great job of bringing new and much-needed elements to the character. A great part of this book is how they highlighted Superman's intelligence. Due to his super strength, Superman's constantly pigeon-holed as just the brainless muscle of an operation instead of the jack of all trades that he has the potential to be. Some of the weaker parts of the book would be the dragging first half of the book and the lame antagonist. But you could make the argument that this story revolved around Superman's origin so heavily and his struggle to take on the responsibilities of Superman, an A-list antagonist wasn't needed.
