Part 1 The vanished planet Pluto reemerges and Superman must investigate, but he soon finds himself battling a deadly time-displaced Fatal Five. Meanwhile, President Luthor has a close encounter with an alien woman who brings portents of destruction. Will the President listen or will it be a day that will live in infamy?
Superman, (with Hamilton on a com unit) checks out the planet that appeared where the missing Pluto once was. He soon discovers that it is in fact a new Warworld. Before he can investigate farther, he is attacked by the Fatal Five. Superman soon realizes that the Fatal Five are only holograms and defeats them. He then flies into the center of the new Warworld where he learns that Brainiac is behind the deception. Before he can learn more Brainiac blows up the new Warworld forcing Superman to wonder while he was in space, what did he miss happen on Earth.
Meanwhile, while Superman was in space, President Luthor is visited by his daughter, who Brainiac aged into an adult. She tells him there is a war coming and if he wants Earth to survive, he will need to listen to her and make some scarifies. Luthor agrees but has his own plans in mind.
