    Slaying the Spider Slayer

This past summer, I stumbled upon the Superior Spider-Man and, after years of reading little to no comics, picked it up in hopes of resparking my interest in the medium.

So many months later, this issue reminds me of how successful it was in doing just that.

Dan Slott is a brilliant writer, taking bits and pieces from both Spidey's and Doc Ock's pasts and weaving them into the already fantastic plot, even utilizing events that have happened earlier this storyline now. Not only that, but readers, like me, who are relatively unfamiliar with any new territory covered, is brought up to speed easily and in a natural manner. The dialogue and general writing here is just superb.Camuncoli takes the artist helm for this plotline, and does the job well, harkening to Ramos' work well, making the story flow nicely, despite the brief change.

There are some really clever moments here that make me earnestly smile, and I find myself almost giddy to see what comes next, something that happens rather rarely for me. As I said, Dan has always earned his slot on my pull list.
