    Is This Really "The Best Book On The Stands"? 0

    Previously we've seen little Simon Pooni living his dream as Superior and trying to cope with superpowers. Then we discovered there might be a dark reason behind getting his wish granted.  The Good The idea of a kid getting a magical wish granted (by a monkey dressed as an astronaut) is pretty absurd. The kicker is it's actually working. Seeing a new hero and the way their story is set up can be fun. Origin stories can sometimes get bogged down but with Superior, it was fast and now we're seeing...

    The Good: In keeping with the presentation of realism, we got to see how the studio reacted to the appearance of Superior, and I gotta say, it was pretty well done. Ditto on the following scene with Simon's parents. And the monologue that ties them together is pretty well done. Maddie really impressed me with her determination. The first interview was really amusing and realistic considering 'Superior's actual age. I love the way Superior hes the revelation on how he wants to help the world. And...

    I don´t know how Millar avoided a lawsuit in doing this miniseries (he even jokes about it in this issue), because Superior is Superman is every way you look at him (except from his origin), but that´s no demerit, since this issue is so fun, especially how Simon deals with the press (again, a Superman remark, Lois Lane rings a bell?) after the crazy and interesting stunt of the reporter, the whole protecting Chris - I know that Simon wants to do good, but the whole "I´m going to save the world t...
