Not that it's a bad idea, Taylor fits the role physically but I think that Wonder Woman should be franchised first.

Why not give it a try at least she looks the part and it cant be worse then other craptastic superhero movies.... And if she cant act just put it on mute and watch her fly around...

i guess i dont care. i do think WB/DC should honestly be focusing on alot
of other characters to live action before they even consider Supergirl.
as for Taylor, im sure that alot of Hollywoods Oscar award winners are not
jumping at this role, you know?

When it comes to comics movies I'm always in favor of casting an unknown actor. Why? Because when there is no bias to their popularity and star power, they focus on what's important; like casting someone who actually looks like the character. Taylor Swift isn't the worst person they could choose (I'm looking at you Topher Grace/ Venom, Anna Paquin/ Rogue, Kate Bosworth/ Lois Lane....), but they could definitely do better with someone a little older, more mature looking. Supergirl has to have a believable presence about her. 
 
If they have to choose known actors then I would suggest Amy Smart, Sienna Miller, or Amber Heard as Supergirl worthy prospects

I think looks the part, and can probably pull it off, but will her voice be an issue?  Doesn't she have a Southern twang in her voice?  How would they explain that?  She's from South Krypton?
