It was recently announced that Iddo Goldberg would be playing both Dr T.O. Morrow as well as Red Tornado on the upcoming CBS series Supergirl. Now, the first image was released of Goldberg as the fame Justice League member. Check out the first image of Red Tornado.

Here's the official description for the character.

RED TORNADO is the most advanced android the world has ever seen. Designed by scientist T.O. Morrow for the U.S. Army as the ultimate superweapon, he soon becomes sentient, posing a grave danger to National City -- including the people Supergirl cares about most.

Supergirl premieres on CBS on Monday, October 26.

Not very good looking, but how else are they supposed to do Red Tornado without CG? Maybe this was the lesser of the evils. Hopefully it will look better in action.

He looks like a cross between a Power Ranger villain and some sort of Dragon Ball cosplayer.

Every time the MCU incorporates a new hero, DCTV does an analogue.

Atom was Iron Man, then became Iron Man crossed with Ant-Man when Ant-Man came out.

Legends of Tomorrow is TV Avengers.

Now we have DCTV's Vision.

The very top of the head looks good... then you see the face and body.

Yeah I've noticed it to not sure if they are openly trying to do that or not but it's a little weird how Marvel will put out a character or announce a character then DC isn't far behind to put out a close counterpart to said character.

Hawkeye --> Green Arrow

Quicksilver --> Flash

Ant-Man --> Atom

Black Panther --> Vixen

Vision --> Red Tornado

The only one I can think of going the opposite is Mockingbird in Agents of SHIELD but she isn't even with Hawkeye. Maybe Daredevil for Batman but Batman has been getting movies for years so I really doubt that had any effect on the show.

I doubt it's happening on purpose but man it's just weird that out of all the characters both companies have they're picking the ones most similar to the opposition. Just weird.

@the_stegman: I will. They shouldn't let random cosplayers make their costumes.

I'm interested. They could have gone the safe rout and picked a bad guy more human, down to earth, and easier to do. But they went with Red Tornado, and then made him look like a red robot rather than a human like they also could have done (if this was Smallville). So I would like to see how this goes. They get my support for at least not taking the easy ways out. Not picking a human villain, or making him a robot who looks human.
