Karin's anticipation for a rematch with Sakura quickly turns to disgust when Sakura decides that their next contest shouldn't be a martial arts battle, but a hot-dog eating contest. Nevertheless, Karin accepts then departs, while Sakura undertakes a training regime with some help from Kei and Shoma.
However, as the contest gets underway, it becomes apparent that Karin has something in mind beyond a sporting victory. Meanwhile, Dan recovers from his injuries and sets out again to track down Sakura.
