You've seen her in issue #0, you'll be seeing her in JSA #1, but here it is: the origin and first adventure of DC's newest Star! Freshly moved to Blue Valley (former home of Kid Flash!), Courtney Whitmore learns a secret about her new step-dad, Pat: he was once known as Stripesy, the Golden Age sidekick of the original Star-Spangled Kid! And what better way to irritate the new dad by forcing him to be a sidekick again... to her, as the new Star-Spangled Kid makes her action-packed debut at Blue Valley High?

    ## At first I wasn't sure how to feel about this issue. There are a few things I find weird which is some of the villains being over the top and some people making rash judgments but it's not terrible. Some stuff works and some doesn't you do see the relationship that we don't normally see from comics. It's not a bad start but it feels like it should be made longer. We'll see how things are in issue 2....
