Starfire talks about how we shouldn't live our good old days and we should live in the moment . She said,"We appreciate the past.We respect it. But we don't live there.We live here.Now.In the moment."Starfire was giving advice to Jason.I thought this was really philosophical of Starfire.Do you agree or disagree?

well I guess have to be cold one here appreciate past is one thing. Learning from it is another. You had plenty of chances of stopping your sister before she lost it. She was haunted by her past. Your people's appreciation of it of the made her think she was monster that was foretold without a moment of second thought and she accepted. I know new universe timeline has not been cleared yet.

Yes living in the past is unhealthy but we all have to take a moment and look back where we went wrong and right after everything is done.

Wasn't she shown, in this very issue, sniffing the glove of someone whose name she doesn't remember in order to provoke a pleasant memory of a lover FROM THE PAST?

It's a flimsy attempt to make her seem thoughtful and more than 2 dimensional. If we only live in the 'now' then you forget history & are doomed to continue making the same mistakes. She may as well just come out & say "I like hedonism, it's less boring than not being a raving nympho".

The initial reason was her lack of personality and being a sex doll with the memory of blow fish in the first few issues. It's either ignorance of not reading the series because of the negative buzz the first issue created and that opinion is still carried or you have read the series but just don't believe Lobdell's intentions.

This new incarnation of Starfire is more than meets the eye. I like the fact that even in this super sensual, sometimes phylosophical, hard as nails chick...you can actually see that she is broken, damaged, and ultimately decieved by herself. Her advice was preatty logical and like real people, sometimes we can give great advice but not follow it. I think that one of the best things the writer has managed to convey through this characters is that they are not perfect, they are far from that but very close to humans allover the world with doubts and insecurities...Red Hood and the Outlaws its a great book for the broken heroes in search of Rehab and assylum I just hope that we can also see how they redeem themselves and come out from their shortcomings.

yes and yes, i do Believe and think like her, but i also learning from the past not just appreciate and respect it, so i can make sure that i am not making the same mistakes twice.

Living in the moment is the right thing to do, but also learn from past mistakes. However dwelling on the past is a waste of the short time we have on Earth.
