Have you been watching Star Wars: Rebels? If not, there will be some spoilers below. Those that attended the Season 2 panel at Star Wars Celebration got to check out the first episode of Season 2. The first season ended with a nice surprise plus the appearance of Darth Vader. Things are just starting to heat up.

At the panel, Dee Bradley Baker, the voice of Captain Rex, Wolffe and Gregor, along with Ashley Eckstein, voice of Ahsoka Tano showed up. The audience was overjoyed that the two will be returning in Season 2.

Season 2 begins this summer with a one-hour movie and will continue in the fall with new episodes on Disney XD.

It has been confirmed that James Earl Jones is back, voicing Darth Vader.

Really looking forward to this. All of season 1 was great, but the final episode really ended on a high note.

Also, and this may just be me, but anyone else want to see some interaction between Kanan and Ahsoka? The fact that they were both Padawans near or during the fall of the Republic and the old Jedi Order, be nice to see Kanan bond with her, knowing he's not the only Jedi left in the galaxy.

Trailer was awesome but not really feeling Vader's voice in this.

GAHHHHH!!! As an EU lover this is driving me nuts!!! A-wings and B-wings weren't developed for like 20 more years! And the 501th became Vader's personal unit, Vader's Fist. You shouldn't be so proud announcing your association with them, Rex!

keep him in the films, he doesnt need to be in this show we have the inquisitor gosh gee. so not looking forward to this season. still hoping mara jade can show up. any news on who sarah michelle gellar is voicing?

Shouldn't Vader have instantly killed them all upon seeing them? That alone is why I won't watch season 2.

Season One was a lot of fun. I liked it a whole lot more than Clone Wars, which itself was not bad either. Western cartoons usually lack the tight serialization that I prefer which is why I watch anime, but Rebels did a good enough job continuing plot points through the first season's arc. Now, lore-wise, according to Obi-wan and Yoda, there weren't any other Jedi left by the time of the original trilogy. According to this series, we now have at least three before A New Hope kicks off.

Just out of curiosity, how would others here feel about seeing pre-teen Luke or Leia in the series? How about young Han?

@penguindust: Well technically Luke and Leia wouldn't be pre-teen here. Rebels started around 5 years before A New Hope, so they'd be about 14 or 15, same as Ezra and Sabine.

@wardishy: Yes, technically. I always assumed Luke and Leia were about 18 when A New Hope started. So, they'd be 13 for this series; pubescent teenagers. It's been so long since I read the novelizations that I can't recall what age they actually were. I guess I could have checked Star Wars Wookipedia, but I prefer my ignorance in this case.

@impervious: well since deaths happen off screen...and you know what they say "no body no death" heck even when they bury someone (superman, colossus) it dont mean a thing.

I just hope that they really depict Vader in his prime as it should be: an unstopable force of sith power. I know that the heroes have to somehow get away with something against, but come on, he is the one of the strongest force users ever, who hunted and personally killed jedi masters, one of the greatest pilots in the galaxy and commander of Vader's Fist.

Captain Rex was one of my favorites from Clone Wars. I hated Ahsoka, but I feel like I'll like her this time around.

Who says he won't? We only got a glimpse of his confrontation with them in the trailer, and since none of these characters are guaranteed to make it past this series, anyone of them could die.

Couldn't really get into the first series, hopefully this will be a bit more engaging.

Over on IGN, they saw the first episode of the new season and they were pleased with how they handled him. They also talked to the producer of the show at Star Wars Celebration and he said the production staff were very aware that Vader cannot lose too often because of his importance in the Star Wars mythos. It seems they are walking a fine line. It will be interesting when Vader and Asoka meet up again.

I hope we see Boba Fett again.

Looks great. Very happy to have some of the Clone Wars characters back, including whatshisname the smuggler guy.

Ahsoka will get wrecked if she fights Vader. What training could she have possibly had during her self imposed exile that could give her a chance?

You want to make a bet that they all won't die upon meeting Vader?

I liked Ahsoka face better in CW but this has my attention.

Rex and Vader!!! Definitely hyped for this the season finale was great and I've got high hopes for this show.

I skipped watching the first season because I did not like the animation and I thought it would be Disneyed up from the surprisingly brutal CartoonNetwork Clone Wars. Now that Ashoka and Rex are back, I have to watch it.

@jewishdork: You should, it's really good. Nothing special but entertaining. Otherwise I'm glad fans of the Clone Wars like you are getting some fan service. Hopefully it's good fan service too.

I will say this, I'm not liking Vader. It's not so much my bias against the character it's the fact that his death and final defeat have been written and it's not here. Vader is not so much an antagonist as he is a natural disaster and the narrative will probably not portray him as one.

This is going to be SO intense. I really love this series.

Who else around here supports or deams about "Ezrabine" (Ezra x Sabine)?

NICE.

Maybe not in the first encounter, mainly because that wouldn't make for a great action/adventure show, but I could see one of the main characters falling at Vader's hand at some point in the season.

Personally I could see Vader attempting to turn Ezra to the Dark Side like the Inquisitor tried in season one. We've seen that Ezra is powerful in the Force, yet due to Kanan's lack of preparing him for the temptation of the Dark Side, I could see Ezra struggling with this as time goes on. Vader attempted to turn Luke to the Dark Side and help him kill the Emperor so that he could rule the galaxy himself, so turning Ezra could simply be another attempt to do just that.

Thank you that bugged me as well. I was also under the impression that the clones aged faster then "normal". Funny that ashoka can so easily forgive rex for killing jedi at the temple.
