Simple really I would like to start up a thread (this one) where individuals show off either their entire collection or what make it special, in short what you are most proud of.

And if you can, include a picture of it or the collection.

All I ask is to to take steps to protect your privacy.

I have 42 boxes housing my comic book collection. A good portion consists of Spider-Man titles. I don't really have collectable figures or busts, only a Captain America action figure sealed in it's plastic box and a Spider-Man motion lamp. My spare room is being turned into a small recording studio / video editing suite which may have a few decorative super hero motifs. :-)

My first comic book was the first Ultimate Spider-Man trade paperback my grandmother bought it for me when I was six years old I've purchased every trade in the series through Peter's death plus his brief return but have sold most of those. I've only gotten into the habit of buying individual issues the past two years.

I have every Spider-Girl Digest and paperback ever published plus some back issues but I still need some more issues to complete my collection.

Spider-Man: Blue and Spider-Man: Fairy Tales, two copies of Fraction's Sensational Annual #1, Parallel Lives and a little Spiderman loves Mary Jane.

All of Back in Black and JMS Ultimate Collection vol 3

Some Essential Spectacular collections and 30-40 random spiderman back issues as well as RYV and Spiral and most Spider-Verse mini-series and tie ins. (I never bought the main story because well Slott)

Non Spider titles first eight issues of Legendary Star Lord, All three paperbacks of Marvel Age Sentinel, All of Secret Wars 2015 and some other books here and there.

I also bought and sold some Iron Man hardcovers.

But the item I'm most proud of? When I was 8 years old I purchased the first 500 issues of ASM and the first 540 of FF on CD for just $65! I've made copies of the discs and shared them many times over the years.

@knightwriteri Ultimate Spider-man was also one of my first comic books I ever got. I almost have a complete collection of the series but I think I could never sell them since I have had some of them for so long.

I would say my most prized spider-man comic/memorabilia from my collection would be my hardcover copy of the premiere edition of Ultimate Spider-man Vol 17 which includes interviews with the creators and short "biographies" for each of them as well as some cover sketches for each issue and even the exclusive cover for the edition which were all never excluded from the ordinary copies of the trade that I grew up reading. For me, what makes it so cool, outside of the exclusive stuff, is that I luckily got it from a second hand store years after the originals were sold out everywhere else.

My most prized Spidey piece is my copy of Amazing Spider-Man Giant Sized Annual #21: Special Wedding Issue(!). It cost me $10 and the clerk at the comic store (which is no longer around) told me directly that he was going to buy the book for himself when I presented it.

It's a pretty good story IMHO that avoids the big wedding brawl cliche found in comics and focuses on the character drama between Peter, MJ and their supporting casts, aka the thing that makes Spidey great to me. It also helps that I own the direct follow-up Peter Parker, the Spectacular Spider-Man Giant Sized Annual #7 which shows why the marriage works from Peter's character. The only real problem I have with these stories is that Spidey is wearing the cloth Black Suit made by Black Cat... I like the black suit but not as a regular costume.

I don't have the money to buy much but my wedding issue will always be the crown jewel of all my comic merchandise.

I finally received my J. Scott Campbell statue of Black Cat and she is beautiful.

The only thing, and I recently learnt this, you don't get the Persian with the normal version, if you want her with the cat, you need to purchase the special edition straight from SideShow collectables.

As for the picture, I don't get why there are 2 different Spider-Man statues for purchase when they look essentially the same. Care to enlighten me?

I have no idea, but as you can see one is darker and has different artwork , my best guess is that it's a marketing thing to give people an excuse to buy more than one.

Maybe once I actually get a job LOL.

Also you can see they are positioned differently. so they are also setup to be like bookends.

and I'm sure in time you will get your first satue.

I just got this in my collection. Sure it was a slightly worn copy, but somehow, I think that made it even special when I asked him to sign it.
