As a fan of the Black Cat I am bit surprised that they are trying to make her a super villain. It just does not seem to work with Felicia .

As a character she has always been fun to read as the fun loving Anti-hero/heroine cat burglar who was Spiderman's on/off girlfriend and help, as opposed to Peter Parkers. Not only did they have good chemistry and banter but it was also interesting as it was Peter having the opposite problem as opposed to his other relationships and juggling a normal life with being a super hero. This time it being the other way around.

So does anyone know what this is all about, why make her a Super Villain as the character just does not seem built for it and ruins a fun character ?

It almost came across as them trying to emulate what DC were doing with Catwoman...only they did'nt wait that story out and just went with the assumption Selina was going to be as twisted as Felicia is now. As it stands now, we know Selina still has her principles and is capable of good things despite her stature among the crime families.

Also, unlike Selina, Felicia lacks an ongoing of her own to really flesh out the parts of her that could justify her actions post-superior outside of a generic "angry at the world and not getting any perks" attitude. Perhaps that will be remedied now that she has a substantial supporting role coming in Silk's relaunch.
