are any versions of venom considered stronger than the rest? for example space venom, agent venom, scorpion venom, classic venom etc.

If we count the Superman crossover fight as canon, then classic Venom hands down. I mean, (with the power of popularity) that guy took down Superman. Super-fricking-man.

I'd say it was when he was with Peter, that's why it wanted him back so much.
