Poll Spider-Man is a worthless hero in wide spread heroism (15 votes)

    Is he? 7%
    Yes 20%
    No 73%

Sorry fans this is what I believe, he is pratically filler in avenger team ups and depending on the writer too redundant to use for big term operations outside his setting. Everything about him can be filled more effectively by any X-Men, Avenger(Street Level Wise), and Fantastic Four user. He barely has a story where the city would be completely defenseless and in danger without him, it's because New York isn't his established superhero mark like Gotham, Keystone or Metropolis is for Superman, Flash and Batman. It belongs to every hero that is either the worlds best or the worlds most celebrated even Daredevil is the Son of a part of the city that people actually trust more than Spidey in some story.

It's not about cities, it's about everywhere else beyond a city, like another country or another art of the US. Spidey just is the most used face of superheroes of street levelers because he's the most popular and overrated. Can anyone tell me what he has done currently now that he has more resources to work with on a heroic scale?

Spider-Man is more concerned with keeping his sense of moral superiority clear(especially in Spider-Man/Deadpool), than saving people's lives and making a serious difference for the world, and is a judgmental selfish martyr looking down to people failing to live up to his impossible high standards, even if he fails to live up to them too.

Superheroes are not "most people", other wise they would be anti heroes and represent us with powers.

the point of Most of the Marvel characters even most other characters is that they are suppose to be alot more human meaning they are suppose to be more than just your heroes that you look up to.

Yeah but even then, they are still representing a rare part that makes us better people and more self sacrificing/selfless while DC are called called gods that humans depend on to define their how their morals should be.

yes, and that's what Spidey does most of the time. infact, most of the heroes in the Marvel Universe pretty much have their own selfish moments.

I never really understood that argument about DC having characters you look up to and Marvel characters are who you are. I just thought Marvel had better developed characters. Stan Lee gave his characters personality whereas DC characters were dull. From Post Crisis, onward, DC started adding more development to their characters besides Batman and the New Teen Titans. Marvel had more three-dimensional characters whereas DC were 2-dimensional and were more about powers than characters. It's the reason why there's the stigma that comic books are just for illiterate children. Spider-man was one of the first characters that felt like a 3-dimensional character so he grabbed readers. I think Captain America was a very flat character, but I'm sure when people were fighting wars, they didn't have time for drama. They just wanted pulpy stories of good guys hitting bad guys.

And to answer the question, no, I do not think he's worthless otherwise I wouldn't have been hoping he would be written better for the past decade. I think he's a great character, and he was the only superhero besides Batman that is similar to my morality. I wouldn't mind if they were the only two superheroes to exist.
