While I'm happy he destroyed the Spider-Signal, I was also pretty pissed at what Spock just said in the last panel.

Really Slott? It's bad enough you made Superior Spider-man but now you insult Batman?

The Bat Signal is not intended to find batman, Its intended as a warning signal to scare off the bad guys.

I just found this funny. DC probably think this iss funny too. They know some rivalry is good for sales. Really it is only fanboys and comic consumers that bitch about stuff like this. There are more serious problems in the world (also in the world of comics).

Yeah you could read it that way. However the story is set early in the Batman mythos and Batman seems to be surprised what it is like he doesn't know the concept and angry that the a using his symbol and not in what is going on (that is how I read it anyway). I would put the story in before The man who laughs.

Spider-Man made a joke already about Bale's batman voice and Superman changing at payphones, it's just a little pinch, nothing serious lol. Im sure dc doesn't even care about this.

@Pyrogram: Really this was funny, on the other hand it also showed respect and paid homage to Batman, Bat fans should be happy that Marvel showed respect in this fashion instead of lashing out and not really looking into what happened. Oh again this was funny! Another example of Marvel paying homage to Dc repeatedly is the appearance of Kent Clarkson/Clark Kent aka Superman in popping up in Marvel comics over the years, and even on the Amazing Spiderman and his friends, mostly during dire consequences, when Superman would save the day.

Well... I never liked Slott, I have disliked his series for a while, but come on there is nothing to get mad about, and that panel was really funny.

Also you have to remember that both Batman and Spider-man have a different rogue gallery, Spider-man have metahumans, guys that could easily kill all the population of the city and Batman has mad men and serial killers, they have different lives, and their respective villains different objectives.

Nice funny nod to the fans of Batman. In the end its true. What ever at least Slott has the guts to insult Batman especially with all the people who worship Batman because of the Dark Knight

The Bat signal is on top of the police station, and NONE of batman's villains for the most part LOOK for the Batman lol. They usually hide form him or if they're someone like the joker lead him to where they want him.

So how is this insulting? The two companies have done this kind of thing plenty before. Having each other characters make subtle cameos is kind of what they do all the time. It's all in good fun. Neither of them actually take it seriously. It's just a harmless acknowledment to the the other company.

Actually, I thought that was funny and in good-taste.
