I recently found evidence that Peter Parker cannot make love to Mary Jane because his sperm would kill her because its radioactive this just might be true and not many people know about but im not sure if its legit what you guys think?
Spider-Man
Character » Spider-Man appears in 17243 issues.
Peter Parker was bitten by a radioactive spider as a teenager, granting him spider-like powers. After the death of his Uncle Ben, Peter learned that "with great power, comes great responsibility." Swearing to always protect the innocent from harm, Peter Parker became Spider-Man.
Peter Parker can not have intercourse with Mary Jane??
Trust me, he layed the pounding on her a couple of times in the Straczynski run. Luckily for humanity, Spider-Man Reign isn't canon.
lol alright thanks I needed to find out the truth...and yea it would seem kinda odd that he hasn't banged her yet.
it's not legit
Read The Amazing Spider-Man #672 - Spider-Island, Part Six: Boss Battle they don't say it outright but you get what they meant.
I would mention Reign not being cannon and being a What if? but it seems like you've already been told. Any rate it's best too ignore Spider-Man Reign.

if your theory is correct(which most likely it is not)
he just has to wear a condom
"evidence" what evidence?
@thing150: A lead condom.

Ouch.

That made my day
Joe Quesada must believe Peter is virgin like he is.
Joe Quesada has a face not even a mother could love.

lol
No, he can definitely have sex with Mary Jane. Babies don't just magically fall from the sky.
This are comic books, logic dont apply in any way we understand or even the characters in this universe understand.

The close black hole with their bare hands and it was like 3 weeks ago.
@perethorn: Wow. Mary Jane might just be the greatest wife in all of comics.
@perethorn: This makes me miss her even harder.
“Mary Jane didn’t ruin Spider-Man; too many writers or editors who refused to grow up did. Rather than find difficult solutions to long term problems, too many in the business act like passive observers of a cycle which they help perpetuate, which cannot endure as it is forever.”
Peter's spirits aren't the only thing that's rising...*snort*
I'll let myself out.
Also- 3 times in one issue? Who wrote this?
@goonage: Todd McFarlane
Let me put it to you like this.
Peter Parker is a character characterized by his attempts to be responsible.
Peter Parker is incredibly intelligent, especially in terms of academics and various scientific fields
Peter Parker is a scientist who was clearly interested in radiation and went to an experiment about it when he was a kid.
Peter Parker is the person who suspected his blood might be harmful to Aunt May in ASM #10 due to his unique biology
Peter Parker is the person who learned that a single radioactive trace from his blood could cause headaches, memory loss and potentially kill his Aunt May
Peter Parker in ASM #87 and ASM #100 revealed he’d clearly studied his own enhanced biology as he was aware that he had radioactive blood and had developed a chemical that he believed could remove his powers.
Peter Parker in the No Adjective Spider-Man #15 had the common sense to go to the Beast and check out the possibilities of him and Mary Jane having kids given his unique biology, with no definitive answer being presented.
In the Clone Saga 5 important events happened.
A) when Mary Jane became pregnant she had a geneticist check her out
B) the results of those tests alluded to the POSSIBILITY that there might be health complications involved with their baby although test results confirmed that the baby was in fact healthy
C) there were radioactive traces in MJ’s BLOODSTREAM during the pregnancy which endangered her life, though they had a cure available
D) Peter had the common sense to have himself checked out when he had been under mind control by the Jackal
E) Peter took a job with the same company which built the machine that irradiated the spider that bit him. He did this entirely to learn more about his own biology with the intention of being prepared for any problems his child may or may not encounter
Peter Parker is the guy who in the JMS run of Spider-Man literally injected himself with radiation to defeat Morlun, said it was flushing itself out of his system after that fight and then never ever thought about it after that during all his days interacting with Aunt May, his nieghbors and the school children he was teaching
Peter Parker is the guy who in the storyline known as The Other had his body put through a battery of tests by the greatest minds in the Marvel Universe such as Reed Richards, T’Challa, Tony Stark, Hank Pym, Stephen Strange and radiation expert Bruce Banner.
Peter Parker is also the guy who’s body was put through a similar gauntlet of tests at the end of that story after he died and came back to life.
And throughout all of this neither Peter nor Mary Jane ever exhibited any hesitation or apprehension over the idea of having sex with one another and Peter similarly never expressed too much apprehension over having sex with other people.
My points being given everything I’ve just said Peter is someone who would obviously be aware if intercourse with him posed some kind of healthy risk to other people, as would Mary Jane. If it DID pose a risk then we would not see them be blasé about sleeping together. Because of this the only logical conclusion we can come to is that the only healthy risk Peter poses to anyone is if he gets them pregnant and even then that’s only a maybe because you could never predict what might happen with that.
In conclusion, Reign is out of continuity nonsense and frankly given how Peter was clearly not in his right mind in that story you could very easily explain it away as MJ’s death had nothing to do with him and he just thinks it did because he’s the King of Guilt.
