This seems what Marvel is doing to two highly popular body costumed wise asses with a lot of fans, the thing with Deadpool is he can be anything he wishes as a audience surrogate, while Spidey is restricted as a iconic public hero, so they are put together to have words with each other or a joke off of some sort, is this rivalry and is this raising Deadpool's stock, why else would he be put in a Cartoon with Spider-Man instead of an X-Men cartoon or the Avengers Cartoon?

It's like Marvel and fans want DP to be one of the faces of the company by making him butt heads or working with Spidey, also maybe getting Wolverine the boot considering DP is more popular than him.

Deadpool just got really popular. When a character gets really popular, often times, they hang out with Spidey. It's just the way of the world.

Also, Deadpool is canonically in love with Spider-man. But that's neither here nor there.

    This right here.

Everyone were in the Ultimate Spider-Man cartoon.....They couldn't exclude Deadpool
Also, saying that Deadpool is more popular than Wolverine,is naive ,to say the least.....

Yes, Spider-Man helped created Deadpool because he really is the only character that brings out the perpetual joke telling machine out him at his best and really shows how Spiderman deals with someone who is a parody of himself and more or less a bigger fool and clown, the murder for hire stuff just brings out the fuels to the fire in Spiderman because not only is Wade a grade a trash talker but he's a killer as well, this means Marvel loves to hype thier mascot on a character who is basically thier mascot on drugs, action flicks and internet trolls.

when those 2 get together, it kind of forces spidey to be the straight man. spidey does't really tell to many jokes when they team up.

Jim Kelly has said the both will be equally as funny when Spiderman/Deadpool comes out. allegedly.

Deadpool was created to tone down spidey as a smartass and a motor mouth, sadly it worked. Kinda like venom was created to be more a badass one man army than spidey, which is why spidey is half the man he used to be currently.
