Re-establish the one true history and give Peter and MJ kids, it's time for a fresh angle with the pairing and I've enjoyed every instance of them trying it out in alternate timelines, the Mr. and Mrs. Spider-Man strips ended way too soon.

They won't reboot, but just to play with this:

The origin doesn't need to be changed much. If it's a mutated spider, be it irradiated or genetically altered, or simply a spider with the x-factor, it works.

I'd retcon either the original death of Osborn or his resurrection, as well as the death of Ben Reilly (and erase Spidercide from existence while I'm at it). OMD and Sins Past should go (or at least keep SP to the original version where Peter's the father). Keep the marriage and Baby May, or have MJ and Peter divorce if the marriage is still a "no".

Venom should get the animated series origin story.

I'd say have the unmasking happen and eventually figure out a trick for Peter to confuse people (like pretending to have been Skrull-replaced, or accusing Spider-Man of mind control).

I doubt they reboot. they have previously, many times, rewrote origins to fit with what they wanted to do.

but Spidey should be an Avenger.

Ben Reilly failed for one reason, for the fact how terribly the writing was to make him Spiderman and the reason he was made.

Ben could had worked if they would had used Peter becoming a father as a reason to retire or notice he had too much to lose now.

I dont mean Peter leave forever, but the fact they cut him out and made Bean the real Peter was too much for everybody.

Besides it look like if Peter was never coming back.

Have the love interests be mutates or born with powers too, I hate how Spider-Man stories need to force feed the reader useless women as empowering lonely nerds with heroic complexes who want to be the object of affection to sexy hot but weak women in real life plus it degrades women fans who prefer fantasy images of themselves as super powered(see xmen women) like we men do with our heroes. Plus I rather have Spidey be more Spidey even as Peter Parker, no more of this akward and shyness and being a annoying manchild, have him being a smartass and a genius with a lack of respect for the people who get in his way of doing what is right in his eyes. You know what all of Peters friends should be super powered heroes hell why not have them be like Peter, balancing heroism with day to day life, Peter is the trope codifier after all.

His normal life should be more about trying to help invent things to make the world a better place, like now in his current run. Instead of being a scientist, if the reboot decides to change him back to a kid, he should be an lab assisstent or a doctor intern, instead of a photographer. Eddie Brock and Harry Osborn should have powers like Peter but use them in an anti heroic sense, and eventually Peter and them fight it out till they see eye to eye and join peter in saving the day. He should be the Avenger that will eventually stand above all the Avengers for his generation, the next Captain America like in Ultimate Spiderman. Cap, Ironman, Daredevil, Wolverine and Reed Richards will guest star in his series and mentor him in adventures to help him become a better hero than them in the future. It should be implied that he is making progress and will eventually become a member himself just to seal the deal.

Have Peter be fresh out of college. Pick up at the end of the Clone Saga, and show the psychological effects it's had on Peter. Get rid of the Norman was behind all of it. Have Norman still be dead from his encounter after the Death of Gwen. Peter and MJ are dating, not married, so no child. The Black suit saga has happened. When having flashbacks to the clone saga, make it interesting. Try to make it good. Oh and keep it as Aunt May was the one to actually die, not that actress bull. The Clone Saga can be changed to where it was never questioned that Peter was the original. Have Ben die not only saving Peter and disintegrating in a battle (without Goblin), but also fixing Kaines genetic code making him stable. You can have it so Ben was running around as Spider-Man, but have it so Ben was doing that while Peter was trying to spend time with Aunt May during her final days.

For work have him working at Stark Industries as an R&D dude, but I think that could tie into Spidey's rebooted Civil War arc.

When it comes to the unmasking for Civil War, have Peter always believe in what Cap wanted, but you can still make him the conflicted hero. By not siding with Tony there could be occupational hazards such as losing his job. Big thing is don't have him fight in the actual war. Have him be like The Thing, and not really chose sides, but when the Battle entered the city have him help people while also fighting both sides of the war trying to avoid more unwanted destruction.

Losing his job at Stark Industries can lead us back to Horizon which can be his work and not blow up. Seriously, Horizon blowing up just to have Peter open his own company is one of the dumbest things ever.

Some stories that could be kept cannon are some of the New Ways to die events like Eddie becoming Anti Venom. Gargan can still get the symbiote which can lead into Flash becoming Venom. Superior should be erased. Guess J.J.J Sr. would be erased. I liked earlier Menace stuff where you were guessing who she was so that can stay cannon. That keeps Carlie, Vince Gonzales, and obviously the Hollisters. Also keeps the Spider-tracer plot line canon which I liked.

J.J.J having his heart attack and his wife selling the Bugle should be canon, but instead of Dexter Bennett, I think Marla should give the Bugle to Robbie. Marla's death can still happen, but Jameson shouldn't become Mayor. I think Jameson should actually go be a freelance reporter for the Bugle when he thinks he can find an interesting story. He can settle down a bit and maybe gets some character growth where he starts to appreciate Spider-Man helping people.

Grim Hunt still happened so Madame Web was replace by Julia. In light of figuring out he's dying Doctor Octopus decided to help people helping crippled people for a positive legacy. Connors is stuck in the Lizard form but he's in control much like he currently is. Harry didn't die from the Goblin serum but was instead saved by Peter. He does end up opening the Coffee Bean. He dates Lily but after the Menace incident he reconnects with Liz and Normie (by curing Molten Man like he did in the current canon, and currently lives with them again. Most of the other villains are where they currently are with the exception of Norman who is as I mentioned above still dead.

MJ is one of the most endearing and more capable women in Peter's life when handled well, you'd need only go through all of her TRUE pre-OMD history to see that, or read the Spider-Gilr comics, or the daily newspaper strip whenever she appears in it.

They should move all characters up to the current time and keep them the same with minor set backs. NO Donald black please that sucked and no Jane crap keep it just Sif. Cast Max Thierot as Peter Parker. He totally has the geeky yet likable personality and acting style that would be perfect for Peter, and he can be pretty funny too, so the puns and one-liners Spidey gives would fit well too. Have Peter Parker be a college student, and his only friend would be childhood friend Harry Osborne (Josh Hutcherson) He get's bitten by a radioactive spider in an experiment done by his science teacher, Dr. Octavius (Sam Neil) The spider bites both Otto and Peter, but while it gives Peter fantastic heightened senses, strength and wall crawling abilities, it causes Octavius to develop a multiple personality, the infamous "Dr. Octopus", who kills his wife. Horrified and destroyed by his wife's death, Octavius and Octopus become unified in their quest to destroy Spider-Man. The love interest would be Felicia Hardy (Katherine isabelle), a mysterious high school outcast and rebel who Peter romances (Unknowingly both in and out off costume, as Spider-Man has a fling with Black Cat)

Even Ultimate Peter acted more like a grown-up than the twat in ASM has for the last decade or so.

He don't need to be with MJ i like the new direction that's going with the new female spider character Silk.

You like being easily pleased by abysmal writing and forced relationships with poorly-defined characters? Good for you, some of us don't and would like Peter to have a normal grounded and mature relationship. He and MJ are still together in the daily strips anyway, so this whole "new direction" is pretty pointless in the long run as people who read the strips are reminded on a regular basis of who he ought to be with.

Silk stands no chance will be forgotten about in a few years alongside Jackpot and Alpha, while Peter and MJ, happily married for twenty-seven years, will continue to thrive somewhere.

marvel has ever truly rebooted his universe, they have added a few tweaks here and there to fit the time, but that is a natural thing to do. i don't think marvel needs a reboot and hopefully it won't get one anytime soon.

The closest thing they have done to a reboot is BND and we all now how it turned out.

Marvel is not DC, that needs to do reboots every other decade in order to keep up.
