By unanimous vote on...well....everywhere I go, mass majority is in favor of seeing MJ and Peter Parker back together in holy matrimony. Though the spiderman team seems to still refuse this, there have been a few hints around the comics that maaaaaybe it will be making a return next year...

But lets face it, if we want the marriage back, do we really just want it as one single comic? I have a feeling we all have our own ideas as to how we want MJ to be known as Mrs. Parker again. With so many of us chattering about this, we probably all have different ideas how we see it going down.

So here's the deal. You write up how you want it to go down and share with all of us. Alot of us are pretty creative so lets let those juices flow!

@thor_parker82: Well the Mephisto greeting in the Spiderman Deadpool teammup has gotten people to believe its the beginning of something big. The return of Civil war could also be considered a small hint. The latest spiderman comic saga has suggested that Peter and MJ both have memories of the secret wars world, though MJ has pushed Peter away, in the beginning of this series, Peter had shown a real yearning for MJ like he really feels lost without her, and perhaps her reasoning for not reconciling him is something far more than we actually know.

Though these are more of theories that these are hints, but eversince Peter has seen Mephisto, it has gotten most fans going nuts believing this...though some other readers out there have said that OMD was destined to end. OAA said Peter would suffer through torment but in the end, recieve the family he so rightfully deserved, who's to say that this reward is gone? What if this really was the hell OAA spoke of.

But still, this could be more just fan speculation. Either way, this is just a fun creative writing excercise above all else I suppose.

And how one fixes trouble with writing is to write something better. You just have to know how to weave a proper story.

I can possibly see another mini-series similar to the Clone Conspiracy, with tie-ins being in the regular ASM book.

My theory has always been that the "Peter" and "MJ" that have functioned since OMD are really just the bad sides of a coin, the worst aspects of one another brought to the surface by devil magic, with that "one small part of their souls" that remember. These souls influence them whenever they do something remotely similar to the loyal and courageous Peter and MJ of old. Those souls are what I believe drew the two to "remember" the events of Battleworld in "Power Play". Of course the magic is still so potent and strong that those souls can only take baby steps now and then to repair the damage to the relationship. If the marriage were to be restored, the souls would have to grow even stronger in power and influence, and find a way of not being held back when the next crisis arises that proves so great the chaos magic again pulls them apart.

One cheeky idea would be that, through the blessing of the OAA or maybe even the Future Foundation taking pity on them, the souls are able to take full control only on one given day a week, where they spend time together, sometimes Peter would still be called away to do good, but MJ would understand, and may also be tied up with work and a crisis herself from time to time, but they would always find a moment in the day to get together, talk, and occasionally snuggle if they have time. If they try to warn anyone, they risk losing that one day a week together because it would disrupt the fabric of reality.

Given Peter and MJ make reference to "tuesday" a lot in Power Play, why not make that the day the "real" Peter and MJ spend time together?

Judging from the mixed response some people gave RYV here, it might not be, not unless the decision makes everyone up their game.

The story would begin in the final issue of OMD when MJ is talking to Peter about Aunt May and how it may be time to let her go. Previously Peter met in the Astral Realm with Aunt May's soul who told Peter to let her go. This time (and what actually should have happened) instead of being dickishly stubborn, Peter listens to Aunt May and decides to respect her wishes. Peter then tells MJ to let him do all the talking when Mephisto returns. Mephisto returns and as soon as he appears, wait for it...

Spider Man PUNCHES THE DEVIL IN HIS STUPID FACE SO HARD THAT HE'S SENT BACK TO HELL.

Peter and MJ go to Aunt May and miraculously she wakes up to spend her final moments with her beloved family before passing away. Peter, MJ and Jarvis bury Aunt May next to Uncle Ben and the married couple leave New York. They travel from state to state hiding from the authorities and meeting new people who remember that Spider Man is a hero and provide him with shelter and supplies. Peter and MJ after a month of travel encounter Teresa Parker, Peter's supposed sister as well as Harry Osborn who's revealed to be alive and working with Teresa to protect them. Teresa and Harry are a ray of hope for Peter and MJ and provide invaluable assistance in evading the law. They manage to take it easy for a few months and then MJ tells Peter she's pregnant. They take refuge in a town in the middle of the US but then a building begins to burn and Peter's moral code does not let him sit idly by despite protest from Harry and Teresa. However MJ knowing this will eat away at Peter tells him to "go get em tiger". Peter dons the Spider Man costume and rescues everyone in the burning building without casualties. However this also blows their cover as SHIELD sends forces against him. MJ goes into labor shortly afterwards and is taken to a hospital where Harry admits her under new identity to shield her. However the Thunderbolts and the Sinister Six convey around the hospital prompting Peter to go out to face them drawing all attention to himself and away from MJ. He would let himself be attacked to a bloody pulp by his enemies. Then the civilians would rally to Spider Man recognizing that he's protecting the hospital and his pregnant wife.

The villains would be forced to fall back and then arrives Iron Man to calm the situation and help Peter (realizing how catastrophically he handled the situation with Peter during the Civil War). Iron Man removes Peter and MJ's criminal status and makes amends to the Parker family. After Peter heals from his injuries he goes to meet with his wife and his newborn daughter Anna May Parker. Peter, MJ and her newborn, Teresa and Harry go to the Sanctum Sanctorum to ask for Doctor Strange's help (who remained neutral during the Civil War) in making the world forget Peter is Spider Man. Doctor Strange puts Peter, MJ, Anna, Teresa and Harry in a protective bubble to shield them from the effects of the mind wipe spell. The spell is cast and the world forgets that Peter is Spider Man freeing the Parker family from further persecution. This would begin the true Brand New Day with the Parker family moving back to New York. Eight years later, Peter, MJ and Anna live in a decent and beautiful home with their daughter attending school and manifesting her inherited spider powers which Peter has taught her to use responsibly. Peter works at Horizon Labs as a scientist and engineer and is a prominent member to the company's success. He's also a reserve teacher occasionally giving a class in Empire State University and Midtown High. MJ is the proud owner of a nightclub called Jackpot. With both Peter and MJ, they've brought stability and providence to the Parker household. Also Harry and Teresa have become a couple and regularly visit Peter and MJ.

With their memories intact and their experience during the Civil War, Peter and MJ have developed a cautious mindset with safeguards in place for Peter's identity and eventual supervillain attacks. Peter becomes even more cautious with his identity (and slightly paranoid) however he finds it in himself to reveal it to people he unquestionably trusts such as the Fantastic Four, Captain America, Doctor Strange and Wolverine.

Its important to know that the events following OMD and Brand New Day happened as they were released by Marvel such as Secret Invasion (though they evaded that), Siege (Spider Man played a vital role in Norman's fall), Shadowland, Spider Island, Avengers VS X-Men, etc. The only difference being that Aunt May is dead and never married Jay Jameson and Peter and MJ remained married and with their kid who would turn out like Annie in Renew Your Vows.

Alternate OMD Retcon (Takes Place After Secret Wars 2015)

Lets say that the deal with Mephisto is broken through the death of Aunt May in an unexpected car accident. Peter and MJ would slowly start to regain their memories and yearn for each other. However Peter is still CEO of Parker Industries and MJ still works for Stark. Peter gets a power and suit upgrade and while testing them around New York his enhanced spider sense detects a young girl injured in a rooftop. Spider Man saves her and takes her to a Parker Industries Medical Facility where he discovers that she's Annie May Parker from Renew Your Vows. Peter connects his Spider Sense to her's and learns of how she ended up in another universe. Annie's parents, the alternate versions of MJ and Peter would sacrificed themselves to save their only daughter by sending her through a portal in a certain death scenario. Peter comforts Annie promising to take care of her and adopts her.

Annie becomes Spider Man's sidekick and the two develop a deep father daughter bond. Peter and Annie would come across MJ at the Coffee Bean (vacation from Stark) where MJ tigers Peter and introduces herself to Annie complementing her hair (she would learn of Annie through the media). Annie's behavior is strange but only because she misses her mom, her own MJ. Peter tells MJ about Annie's predicament and how she's their daughter from an alternate reality. MJ forms a connection with Annie during their lunch at the Coffee Bean which would mark the reconnection of Peter and MJ. A storyline would unfold in which Spider Man is the last superhero on Earth (the rest were taken by the Collector or some other cosmic entity to save the universe or something). Spider Man works with SHIELD to maintain world order against rampaging supervillains and with Mary Jane who activated Iron Man armors to help Spider Man. After securing the world, the Green Goblin reemerges leading Spider Man's rogues gallery in a successful take over of New York City by creating an impenetrable barrier around the city. Spider Man would ensure the safety of MJ and Annie while he would go on to face his enemies. Spider Man holds his ground thanks to his upgrades but he would eventually become overwhelmed. Suddenly the heroes who disappeared return and try to penetrate the barrier surrounding New York to help Spider Man. Spider Man would eventually be overwhelmed prompting Annie and MJ to come help him. The two help him but they get end up becoming a burden. The Goblin attempts to ram MJ and Annie forcing Spider Man to get in between them and suffer severe injuries. The heroes are further motivated by Spider Man's struggles and manage to break the barrier. An injured Spider Man would defeat the Green Goblin in amazing fashion despite his injuries. The day is won as the heroes defeat Spider Man's enemies. The Goblin would make a last ditch attempt to kill Spider Man but would be killed by Harry who tells Spider Man that it was his responsibility.

The recent events have made Peter and MJ much closer in their own rights and reinforced by their returning memories. Peter would successfully restore Annie's home universe using a Cosmic Cube and the aid of Spider Man 2099. After Annie's departure Peter and MJ recover their full memories and the two meet each other again recovering the unconditional love they sold to Mephisto. Their reunion would alter reality thanks to the One Above All who interferes on Peter's behalf and merges the Earth 616 Universe with Annie's Home Universe. Peter and MJ wake up the next day together in bed recalling everything that's happened pre OMD and post OMD, their marriage, their deal, their lives after that and their experience with Annie. They would find themselves in a beautiful home with Annie as their true daughter. Peter is still the leader of Parker Industries and MJ is a top executive who handles her own division of Parker Industries, Watson Entertainment (for young actresses and models). They have gone through hell and emerged victorious with a family and a prosperous life to show for it. Old challenges have been conquered and new ones lie ahead for the Parker family. AND MARVEL NEVER SPLIT THEM UP AGAIN.
