So, when Sony signed that deal with Marvel the comic community cheered, but I immediately saw trouble on the horizon. I couldn't help but feel like there's going to conflict and friction between the two. Sony has stated there going forward with a Venom film unrelated to the MCU, does this mean that Sony can take support Spider characters like villains or Black Cat and keep the out of the MCU? Is anyone else worried?
Spider-Man
Character » Spider-Man appears in 17242 issues.
Peter Parker was bitten by a radioactive spider as a teenager, granting him spider-like powers. After the death of his Uncle Ben, Peter learned that "with great power, comes great responsibility." Swearing to always protect the innocent from harm, Peter Parker became Spider-Man.
Are Sony and Marvel already splitting hairs over Spider-Man?

no, not really. i am not worried at all. it would also be dumb to do a vemom movie without spiderman.
@christianrapper: only if they don't establish the character first
@christianrapper: that's what I'm saying. Sony is going forward with there own solo Venom film unrelated to the MCU.
Incidentally, Avi Arad is gonna be producing it. After almost a decade, finally gets to fulfil his Venom solo film obsession.
Also, I don't think they're keeping the characters out of the MCU. Marvel will probably do the symbiote in Infinity War, so maybe we'll get a good one, as well as bad one and a Sony standalone.
I think Sony had already planned the Venom solo film before the deal with Marvel so hopefully that was worked out some way during negotiations and it won't cause a problem
Marvel and their problem with rights of characters. Indeed lead to funny things like a Venom Movie without Spiderman.
@catty_spider1: Spider-Man 3 :D
@rabumalal: No self respecting Spiderman fan could ever call that Venom :p
@catty_spider1: I can't ever say a bad thing about a movie with the dancing Peter in it.
@rabumalal: Lol lets not forget the Franco/Dunst dance routine either ?
@concon: But Venom is Spideys greatest villain though, it's not like he's a B villain like some of those.

.
@zariusii: You don't think he is ? Whose you choice ?
@catty_spider1: I disagree with Venom being Spidey's greatest villain. Most popular? Perhaps. However, the victor for greatest villain has to be the one and only Green Goblin aka Norman Osborn. I'd put Doctor Octopus in the second place, and maybe, just maybe, Venom at third.

Isn't he responsible for most of the screwups in the past Spider-Man movies? Both Sam Raimi's and Amazing Spiderman?
@itsaworld: Ever since SM3 Rami has been trying to convince people that it was just the studio that screwed up that up and he was innocent but Rami was involved in some of his own screw ups. The whole Franco/Dunst dance scene and amneI sia plot were all Rami not the studio. That and the whole Sandman killed Uncle Ben nonsense.

I agree 100%. I don't trust Phony Sony. :-)
