My Favorite Book of the Week 0
I'm sure I'm not alone when I say that I've never heard of Cloak and Dagger, much less read a book about them. These guys are C-List at best. Deep supporting roles for the Spider-Universe and their many series have always failed, kind of like Moon Knight. After reading #1 of this mini-series, I'd be shocked if this creative team couldn't make it work. Since they are a two-member team, Cloak and Dagger is dual-narrated. Sometimes Cloak and Dagger's narration feeds each other, sometimes it's played...

When did they become the butt monkeys? 1
I knew about Cloak and Dagger from House of M, Civil War, and from my 1992/1993 Marvel trading card set. But I'd never really read anything with them as the main characters. Boy have they fallen low. (I think) The comic starts off with things going from bad to worse (after the intro section) for these two who seem like a pair who've been together for just a little too long. Dagger comes off a bit ditzy and I'm just not sure what to make of these two. But the comic contains one of my favori...

Cloak and Dagger returns for Spider-Island 4
Synopsis: Cloak and Dagger get dragged into Spider-Island. What's Good? There were only a couple of tie-in issues I was going to try to pick up during Spider-Island, and I didn't expect to pick up this one. I didn't know too much about Cloak and Dagger, but after reading a bit more about the duo online, I can understand why they're considered underrated. Nick Spencer is the writer, and he really does a great job in writing these two characters. The opening pages really helped give these two some...

So Glad I Didn't Have to Read Spider-Island for This 0
Wasting no time, Nick Spencer and Emma Rios dive right into the characters of Cloak and Dagger and kick off what could very well become one of the best stories in the duo's history. Admittedly, there's not a huge amount of competition with these two rarely spotlighted characters. but that doesn't take away from the fact that this is a very strong started to their limited series. Characterization is where it's at with this story. Spencer has a very firm grasp on who Cloak and Dagger are, or at l...

Together in Imperfect Harmony 0
Cloak and Dagger are more accessory than actual team at this point in comic continuity. Certainly, their current place in the Marvel Universe is a far cry from the paling around with Spider-Man that I remember so vividly from my childhood. Hell, Cloak and Dagger are the team that I remember most vividly from my youth, but have read nearly next to nothing from in the prevailing years that I've come back to reading comic books. Out of the void (the Darkness Dimension one might say) comes a Clo...
