Writer/artist Scott Kolins (THE FLASH, FACES OF EVIL: SOLOMON GRUNDY) brings you the origin behind one of the most mysterious figures in DC comics! Smashing out of the pages of his "Faces of Evil" one-shot, Solomon Grundy teams with Cyrus Gold - the man he once was before becoming a monster - to uncover the truth behind the Grundy curse! But how can he team with Cyrus Gold? How was Solomon Grundy created? And can Cyrus ever be set free? There are seven issues for each day of the nursery rhyme that haunts the longtime DC favorite, and by Sunday, could this be the end of Solomon Grundy?

Before the dawn of man, the Phantom Stranger witnesses a Angel and Demon kill each other. The demons blood taints the soil and later creates Solomon Grundy.

A day earlier, Sunday, Cyrus Gold kills a man and flees from Alan Scott who catches him. Alan is prepared to punish Cyrus for the murders he committed, but is stopped by the Phantom Stranger. Phantom Stranger tells Alan Scott that the only to save Solomon Grundy is to find the weapon that murdered him, Cyrus's murder and forgive them.

Solomon Grundy and Alan Scott go to Slaughter Swamp to find the knife that killed him. While there Alan goes into the swamp and is attacked. Cyrus is attacked by crocodiles and eaten.

Cyrus is reborn as Solomon but is soon attacked by the Demon Etrigan. The two forces of nature fight it out and soon find themselves in Gotham City. Nearby Bizarro is being transported by Lexcorp.

Solomon Grundy or Green lantern? 0

Eh. Bought this 7 issue set on ebay because I like the idea of Solomon Grundy. Until I read the first issue that is...  It was ok. But it's hard to really like a character when he has no redeeming qualities at all. And that is Solomon Grundy or Cyrus Gold. He was a killer reborn into a killer. Big Whoop. He didn't really have a sad story that you can latch onto. Unless you care about his father kicking his ass and being abusive.   It also seems to me the story of Solomon Grundy is more about Gre...
