Compared to the other regular characters in Slam-Bang, such as Diamond Jack with his magic gem, or Jungle King with his talking lion, Hurricane Hansen was pretty straight forward, just a regular American fellow who joined the British Navy, was made a captain, and put in charge of a sea raider.
