You should know by now that a Agents of S.H.E.I.L.D. TV show is coming to ABC. Agent Phil Coulson will be on the show despite the fact he was killed in The Avengers. We'll have to wait to find out how.

Need to see more. But can someone please explain where S.h.i.e.l.d. was when the "Mandarin" was shooting up Tony's house, terrorizing governments, and taking the president hostage? Stark is an Avenger for crying out loud does that not entitle him to some kind of security and/or assistance from his associates/colleagues?

- Is that LUKE CAGE at the beginning? He looks African American, so i'm guessing it could either be luke cage, although he seems to skinny to be him. Or it could be Falcon or maybe even Black Panther?

- How awesome is it to see Coulson again? #CoulsonLives!!!

- Will they use this show to introduce more minority characters, then transfer them over into films? Instead of changes races in live action of already established characters. I sure hope so, that'll be brilliant.

- Based on the production and scope they're headed for, I wonder if Nick Fury (samuel L. Jackson), or Happy (tony's security guard) makes an appearance for this show.

-And if they do, will this show tie in with the cinematic universe? Maybe giving slight tips on what Avengers 2 will be about.

My excitement for this show just hit a whole new level.

If that's Luke Cage at the start, it'll be a very sweet Christmas indeed.

Oh come on, he's dead! Can't it just be left at that? He was poor comedy relief at best, was made up for the films, and people are saying they want him to become the Vision in the next Avengers movie. Garbage. And what's this obsession with SHIELD, they're just a boring organisation. As a means to "tie" everything together.....................

Who do you guys think the villains will be? Based on this being a sort of cop/ superhero show, I wouldn't be surprised if it eventually leads up to a Kingpin arc. Sprinkle in some spidey and daredevil street level foes. And extremis might be prominent in this show. Seems like the perfect excuse to have supers running rampant everywhere.

At first, I didn't want superhero TV shows. Then came Arrow, and I've changed my tune. I just hope this finds it's way onto danish television at some point.

Looks interesting. Unfortunately, I do not have ABC channel (uh.. I think, lol. I'll have to check). If not, then I will be more than happy to buy it on Blu-ray. According to Blu-Ray.com, The first complete of Arrow will appear on Blu-Ray this fall! I will definitely pick it up because I've only seen the first couple of shows and I liked it. After that, I had to watch America Idol at 8pm EST. Really, I'd love to see Agents of SHIELD becomes more successful like Arrow.

@lordrequiem: I think we're all attached to coulson because he was was one of the least crappy things about that movie. Honestly I hate Iron Man, so even if RDJ did a good job, the character is wasted on me, Thor's ok, but I'd rather have good actors than pretty people, Loki, good casting, ScarJo should of just stayed away from comic movies, she's just a pair of boobs now a days with little to no acting ability. So with only so many people being good, coulson stood out as a normal kinda of good character.

I don't know how I feel about the return of Agent Coulson. I really liked the character, but he had the perfect send off in AVENGERS. While this is probably a LMD, it still undercuts the drama of his death to pull back on it like this.

I don't plan to watch it, but that's mostly becasue I don't watch much of any network TV anymore.

if they dont put some big names like avengers, xmen etc and keep it normal spy stuff with a decent story, then i am into it.

@molotovzav: So.. what did you like about the movie? Apparently not many of the characters. I think Hemsworth was pretty convincing as Thor. Honestly I liked Thor over Iron Man 2 & Captain America. I still think it was pretty wack that Iron Man got two movies before Avengers & not Cap. Also I thought Johansson was pretty good in The Avengers. Maybe mostly due to script, but I enjoyed her in film. More so than Iron Man 2. I think that is a stigma with good looking actors & for sure Johansson. I'm not saying she is an astounding actress, but give her a little bit more credit for a Avengers at least.

I imagine this is what Cap 2 will explain. Considering it has basically turned into a Cap and SHIELD movie.

It would also make sense why the Christmas theme was so prevalent in the movie. It would be easy to set up the same theme in Cap to show they happened at the same time.

Would be kinda cool to introduce more street level guys. Give them a chance and see if they can later shine on the big screen. Luke Cage, Iron Fist, Daredevil,etc. Maybe even give some cameos to Bucky, Pyms, Wanda and Pietro? Looking forward to it.

i'm really a bit dissapointed by the show. the cast, except coulson, looks pretty awful. especially the female cast, they don't look like scientists or whatever, rather than people from jersey shore.
