The Shadow Council was first formed at the turn of the 19th Century when the entity known as the Abyss altered Aloysius Thorndrake along with a few members of his civil war hunting group and John Steele. They were returned to Earth with a simple goal, prepare it for the Abyss and his armies to take over. For over a hundred years, the Shadow Council has worked in secret with various governments and parties to prepare the way the Abyss. The various foot soldiers of the Shadow Council are drones that have been infected with the darkness of the Abyss that uses items such as the Thorn Crown and the Serpent Crown to possess people and engulf them into its armies. Currently, the Shadow Council has made allies with the latest version of the Masters of Evil.
